I don't think there will be backlash, not if it's cosmetics, makes no sense to fight a games developer/publisher unless it's bad rolls with tons of duplicates and it's all affecting the game play..
If it's not affecting gameplay and micros and loot boxes are cosmetics then can't complain really.
It's not like Henry the iquana is going to be licking you to death or betty the bird is going to be swooping down from above on your ass for extra damage and being a nuisance.
I would much rather publishers and developers go this route than what they have been doing, if anything congrats to Microsoft and rare for not choosing to be dicks like Act...

Terrorist groups are mainly formed because the people of a country have no way to live any more and it's largely due to resources/weather not being there for the people, not just money. The people who are defending Sony are usually the people that if it was any other company would be crucifying them because they have broke the rite to privacy. Those people would be going all crazy because that company is sharing user information regardless of what it is, I mean how do any of us know it has just been this particular incident and Sony are not releasing all kinds of info to the feds. I agree monster Hunter world should of been beta'd across all platforms.
the no testing phaze is now what is causing problems and the reason why SOS flares are not joinable, if they hadnt of kept ps4 with an exclusive beta then Xbox version would be ok also.
Capcom done a splendid job on the game, but they screwed up on testing and do hope they learn a lesson from it.

To play online I'd say yes unless your willing to die every time you encounter someone, the game is a joke now and those who have pretty much everything just destroy its crazy.
My friend has everything and I do not, I can't even get things done because I have players on my ass soon as I try, while my mate has the tools needed for the job. I gave up because I can't be dealing with being killed over and over and I don't mind saying I was when someone rolls up...
More games should follow suit on no health bars, it's about time gamers actually played games without them and used there brains and eyes.

The only thing that bugs me with monster Hunter is the reward money can get split 4 ways, yet they make the game tougher when people join, makes no sense and I'm constantly skint lol..

MH is fine on my Xbox one as I'm sure it is on the other version on all consoles. Yeah there is a bit of sillyness at times getting into online but it does work, SOS. Flares work most of the time and creating online sessions works a treat, so to inviting.

The MH games can certainly do that to people and to be honest those are the only types I've ever known get rid of the game, those kind of players which think they should be able to hack n slash and deliver one hit death blows that fail so hard..
Game is ace, just gone beyond 100 hours and still so much to do and collect, it's epic..
And I won't care about it when I boot up what I like which at the moment is monster Hunter, it's really a stupid arguement created by fanboys that exclusives crap is.
