Because what has Square Enix done right this gen? The only thing they have going for them is all of Nomura's projects which is not coincidental that a lot of them are some of this and next years most anticipated games. Parasite Eve, Kingdom Hearts, FFVXIII. The guy is the last good thing for Square and they know it.

Like Fable 2 has sold 5 million to lifetime sales? Fable 3 will be great and the only reason it might reach around its predecessor's numbers (not 5 million) is if it releases in a time frame alone, by itself. So I guess Uncharted 2 by your logic fails because in less than a year it has sold the same amount of copies on the PS3 as Fable 2 has on the 360 in nearly 2 years? Like I previously stated, they barely sold 3.5 Million last time and Microsoft practically included the game in every bundle they had for months and Fable 2 went budget pricing quick. I hope for Fable 3 to do well but I hate to think it'll do less this time around.

What Cliffbo means is that Sony will be on top of software development due to most 3rd party titles being above average at best. Just as Nintendo was in the 8,16, and 32 bit eras.
