This is the sole reason why Metal Gear is one of the best series ever created. Playing MGS1,2 and 3 nowadays might not have the same impact it did back when they came out. But if you did play each game as it came out. Beyond epic is the only way to describe it. Then with MGS4, you'd swear no other game in life with ever touch you the same.
It's their trade in value is what's the issue here. Always has been. They rip people off on their trade in's. Then you turn and see your game on the shelf a day or so later for avg $15 more.

Not sure how memory over is a issue seeing that it looks like a cartoon. I have plated this game and I have plated Skyrim. No way could Saints be running at the same level, no way! I think dev budget is more the cause. Because Saints Row the 3rd is a total clone to GTA San Andreas in every single way or just GTA in general. I mean every thing. So not sure how the sells went for the game. Because I rented it and beat it all in a week to get the plat.

Sounds like you are more depressed off your own life's decisions and use video games as a means to escape the real world facts. Much like a person co dependant on drugs and alcohol. Though ones perception may be their own reality. Only seeing the negative in life may also be the reason why depression is present in the first place.
Because FPS are SO fricken boring now some 4,5 years in a row and later. It's like doing the same thing over and over when playing COD, MOH, BF, etc,etc. Every time I even try to get into those now. I just get bored within 30 mins and pull it out and go back to a 3rd person game or RPG that has depth.
I played SR3 a few weeks ago. Not a hard game to Plat at all. Did it in a week. It is 100% like playing GTA San Andreas. I mean every single thing down to the radio stations, DJ's, buying shops, clothes, gangs, taking turfs for control, side missions, having homes and properties, getting tats. It even looks like SA. Same wanted level from the cops, etc, etc. Same sexual content and themes. Same places to jump cars and bikes...Same cell phone that rings all the time... think you get the pi...

LOL, true story man. We got the Tandy 1000 also in 1983 from Radio Shack. It came with this telephone sized book with all kinds of games in it. Only it was the code for the games. You had to sit there and literally type it all in. It would take hours. Then, if you go one line wrong. The game would not work. Yet, it would not tell you what's wrong. Man, those were the days.

My first ever type of console playing was on a Apple II, then the II c and the II e. I remember this game well. My all time favorite at the time was Aztec. I would carry around these hard floppy disc cases full of games at school. During lunch, you could go into the library computer room and play the games. Not many had home computer's back then ( 1981/82 ). But in 1982, we got the Intellivision system ( still own it ). Then the rest is history from there really.

Oh look, the PS3 copy has the brightness turned up. Wait until you get it on your own flat panel TV. I bet it looks nothing like this. Just like many other games have time and time before.
People want to look at skin tones on a multi plat game. Then go look at Heavy Rain that just for the PS3. So lets not even think multi plat games set the bar for anything at all. This is the work of Dev's and the effort they put out. Not a console's weakness.
