If you have a fast enough machine and have everything connected with Ethernet it will.
I think they would either run Android or most likely their own OS with a phone app tagged on.

I think that these single speaker units are pretty cool but I have no idea how they work. Sure beats buying more speakers and running speaker wire.

as far as I am concerned this isn't anything new. Sony planned for a 10 year life cycle that is why they included so many features and was so expensive at first. Now less than halfway through the life cycle they have hit the sweet spot. I would be surprised if the xbox 360 can keep up after 2 more years. Even if they are able to render the same graphics the DVD capacity is going to be the big limitation. I think the only way Microsoft can keep up is if they start introducing games on flas...
It would be nice to have wireless N on my PS3 for streaming movies to my PS3 but I have my PS3 hard wired anyway so it doesn't really matter. I think for most people it won't make much of a difference.
The console on top will get hotter. A better test would have been with PS3 slim aswell.

As far as value goes look at all of the PS1 games you can get for the PSP for around 10 bucks each you can't beat that.

What I love about the PS3 is Sony included all of the media center capabilities. I installed a 500 GB HDD filled with movies and I have a router that has a media server on it with a 1 TB HDD. I can stream all of my movies and TV shows to my PS3.
Plus if my wife is watching TV I can power up my PSP and play some PS1 classics or use remote play to stream movies from my PS3 to my PSP via wireless.

But I guess as long as everyone else likes it I guess it is fine but it just doesn't soon good to my ears.
Without blueray there is no point in investing in an XBOX this late in the generation. Better to have a PS3 that can stand the test of time.
This add-on does the upscaling of the image the WII puts out so there is no extra strain on the WII.

I think you are right. I wouldn't mind though I only ever bought a few ps2 games and those are long lost at the parents house. I wouldn't mind buying a few PS2 games from the PSN.
And also for Sony the PS3 helped win the Blueray HD DVD war so it was well worth it for them. Plus they have a 10 year life cycle for the PS3 so it still has plenty of time to turn a profit.
Probably something like that. The actual change will probably be very fast but then they need to test and make sure it works well and have extra time in case there are issues.
