As i said GOTY editions usually release at full price and this is a new release on ps4 ... not a remaster of a last gen game ... the publisher decided its worth full price ... if u dont feel it is just dont buy it! why all this silly fuss !?
Both games look amazing ... each has its strength so just enjoy both if ur able to! hope gears of war 4 comes out on pc

Waiting a year does not make a game less good... practically all GOTY editions that come a year after release are at full price...
I pre-ordered the game and i am getting and i will enjoy it (hopefully) if u don't think its worth it for you then don't buy it ... and yea obviously it would way too much work to port all the games to ps4 u can just get them in a steam sale for 10$

Yeah it's totally has to do with the lighting ... can work well or not so well...
I think they should have gone for a better tech for tracking though... basing it on colors and lights is not the best solution out there
test it and see for yourself ...
I don't think VR experiences have to be ultra realistic graphically ... some good VR experiences i had are on Gear VR.
Rise of the tomb raider already annouced that they allow users to choose better gfx + higher frame rate ( up to 45 fps) vs higher res
