I [not speaking for anyone else]
used VHS as an example NOT because of format, but because of availability and manufacturing.
Some people still have VHS tapes WITHOUT having a VCR. Just like some still have PS2 games WITHOUT having a PS2.
In this example.
PS2 games = VHS tapes
You can still buy PS2 games, but they're not being massively produced and you have to do a 'little' digging to find them just like VHS tapes. Same go...
Anyone going to address the examples given INSTEAD of ONLY talking about DVD?
"Let’s say you bought the best of ABBA album when it first released on cassette tape in 1975, can you go back to the record company that released that album, show them your cassette tape WITH proof of purchase and demand the new CD version with upgraded audio for free?"
"What about if you bought star wars on VHS in 1983, can you now go to Walt Disney with your VHS cop...
Lol! Why bypass the VHS comment, then go straight to DVD?
"What about if you bought star wars on VHS in 1983, can you now go to Walt Disney with your VHS copy and demand the digitally enhanced bluray version for free?"
THIS times 1000.

"Your convenience isn't Sony's problem, and was never promised to you when buying your first copy of the game or a PS4.
Do you do this to every company? Planning to demand free Blu-Ray, DVD, and digital copies of Star Wars just because you have it on VHS?"
THIS! THIS! THIS!
What happens when the only VCR in your house dies? You buy another, right? We didn't/don't demand Toshiba put VHS playback in CURRENT Blu-ray playe...
WowSoChill - "i am not paying $60 for a 8-12 hour single player story that offers little to no replay value"
Yesterday i had the OPTION and played Heavenly Sword & MGS4. (7/8 year old $60 single player games)
Will i even have the OPTION to play Evolve 8 years from now?
Xenoblade Chronicles X?
Exactly.
Kinect 2.0 wasn't made for games. How many Kinect only games were released for this 'mandatory' device?
@AlphaKenny
"People expected"
Is that a personal issue or the games?
No closure to what exactly? It's in the middle of a timeline.
Or, are you one of those people that THOUGHT the game should've had something YOU wanted in it that wasn't meant to be in it?
I hadn't thought of that and literally took your advice for mission 49.
Sorry, it doesn't work.
I moved a combat soldier to the waiting room as a tank was approaching. Got the save icon at the top right. Died. Was put back at the checkpoint. It saved my action, just not my location.
I play multiple games though.
Please explain how to use the delivery system effectively for missions 28 and 48 'Code Talker' (Face the skull snipers then get code talker from the mansion)
..I'll wait.
No manual saves is my biggest issue. Lost a lot of time because of this.
@XBLSkull
"Kojima finally realized making half a game cutscenes was a stupid idea and corrected that"
Peace Walker says Hi!
I SALUTE YOU SIR. SOMEONE GETS IT.
"You can't say a feature is SOOOOOO important to you, then not have the actual system. If you don't have a 360 and sold it....clearly its not that important to you"
Agreed. They love those games so much, they got rid of the ONLY console that can play them ALL.
Brilliant!
*Ask these same guys how often they want to play these old games.
Like really. You'...
GTAV single player. Why? Because i bought GTAV STRICTLY for the online portion. Lost 4 characters that 1st week it launched. Sorely dissapointed.
I paid $60 for Heavenly Sword & $30 for MGS:Ground Zeroes. I've put more time into those games than a lot of bigger/longer games.
Worth every penny. Value is subjective.
You and i both know that wasn't even a topic when talking about 3D glasses.
"I don't like wearing 3D glasses because it doesn't do cool stuff"
Said no one. Ever.
"It's like a toaster not toasting white bread but toasting whole wheat bread and you have to pay for the ability to toast white bread"
Didn't you know that's what the toaster did before you bought it?
Wouldn't the logical thing to do ... buy a toaster that does what YOU want?
