To people who aren't idiots: He's not complaining about sales, DS1 has 20 million players. That's 2/3 what Elden ring has.
What he's saying is he's disappointed in himself because DS2 uses more traditional Stealth and Shooting mechanics, and he was unable to succeed with DS1 when he was trying something new, and it didn't test very well.
This is just all round bad for gamers. This doesn't increase value, it doesn't help the economy. It's a travesty.
I hate console wars, dumbest thing in the world. Both Xbox Series X and PS5 are excellent consoles. I must personally say I really feel like I made the right choice with the PS5. I can't afford a great gamer PC, so I've really enjoyed Astro bot, Demon's Souls, FF7 Rebirth, FF16, Spider-man 2, Rift Apart, and lately the Silent Hill 2 remake. I was hugely skeptical of the SH2 remake too, but I feel it turned out really well.
This article is misleading: Midori said don't expect it to be at the Xbox Showcase because there's no proof of that. They're only expecting to show SOME SQEX titles at it, not necessarily FF9 Remake.
I honestly think Uncharted 4 was more visually impressive than Hellblade 2
This is a stupid bait article. I prefer PlayStation by far but this article is ridiculous.
On the one hand, saying Bloodborne looks better is just completely wrong. On the other hand, literally Uncharted 4 on the base PS4 is more visually appealing than Hellblade 2 on XSX.
The truth is Hellade 2 is a completely gorgeous feat and every XBOX owner should be cheering at such a beautiful game. And if it were on PS5, I would play it.
I've never seen a promising game lose hype so quickly due to a simply poor decision.
It's worth playing more than Remake and Rebirth... Because it has a cohesive story, next to no filler and you don't have to wait 12 years after buying it to see the ending.. lol.
The first game was beyond amazing. The second game is an upgrade in every single way, except for the story.
Imagine taking a game, making the graphics even far more amazing, the sound, artwork, music, all of it, beautiful, and then take the worst choices you could ever make in telling a story, and put them in there. The story is dogshit, and that's despite it being written by incredibly competent, talented writers.
As AWFUL as the choices made by the writers of the story in this game is (and yes, they are awful), it's just a $10 upgrade. Not like they're asking for much. I just don't get why they're selling the full thing at $50 if you don't own it already.
The gameplay, graphics, sound design and music are top-notch. Really. But God, the story... What a waste.
Oh please. It looks amazing. The density on the streets, the character models and hair. Brilliant.
Wow. The population density. The skin shaders. The hair rendering. Wow.
I just don’t get the appeal of the xbox. It seems like such an all-American consumer multi-entertainment hub thing, as opposed to PS or Nintendo which have the feel of a gaming console.
I’m a massive Bethesda fan, I’ve beaten their Fallout and TES games dozens of times with thousands of hours logged… I stopped playing Starfield after 4 hours. I’m not saying it doesn’t have its merits but… It’s just boring. It’s not immersive, and the story really isn’t that interesting.
This explains Microsoft's thinking, and why they don't make Triple-A blockbuster games with a singular vision.
It's a shame. Multiple studios can really take away from what's beautiful about a singular vision. Like God Of War, Death Stranding, The Last of Us, Uncharted, Horizon, Marvel's Spider-Man, etc.
Anyone calling this a cash grab just doesn't understand what's going on. They could have re-released it for PS5 and that would have been a cash grab. This is far more. This is beautiful, rebuilt, remodelled, re-textured, with new lighting, volumetrics, haptics, 3d audio, and much more.
Nintendo switch doesn't come close to being the best selling console of all time. It's 5th, after PS4, lol. It has 107 million units sold. Are you high?
But.. That's the fun part.
I love bethesda, but they couldn't even make 5 Towns in Fallout 4 interesting.. And I love the game.
It’s just a tool. That’s it. People seem to be forgetting that the look is at the discretion of the developer, and so is whether or not to enable the feature.
