Unfortunately, in the world of business, despite excellent services that a company may provide, if the company is taking large losses and making poor business decisions, it is possible for that company to go bankrupt.
Well, nintendojunkie28 is objectively correct. Statistically, Sony would be a more plausible replacement. Given their past and on-going losses, it is quite the problem for them. Despite that, I don't think they will be in trouble as long as they play their cards right and make careful business decisions. That is also why I really think the power of the PS4 will not be such a massive leap as everyone thinks it will be... they simply cannot afford to do something like that--unless they sell...

1. Increases costs of the WiiU unit to include a hard drive with such a miniscule amount of space.
2. I'd rather use my 2TB external hard drive.
3. No hard drive, means less moving parts. Less moving parts means reduced heat production within the unit.

I'm extremely glad that the Wii U is not including a larger medium of storage. Why? This would mean Nintendo would have to invest more money into console assembly and development by implementing a hard disk drive into each console. This would increase development costs, ultimately affecting consumers.
Also, adding a hard drive into the console would decrease the reliability of the console as hard drives contain moving parts; thus, increasing the probability of failure--no...
