Oh boy. Squeenix is in trouble I say. In all honesty though, I wonder if things will ever go back to the way the used to be in japanese games. I mean japanese games as a whole seem to have lost their appeal to the western market. I'm just not sure if FInal Fantasy will ever be the same. Kind of sad to think but this next Final Fantasy might actually be the "Final" one. : (
just out of of curiosity, how much hard drive space do the downloadable PS2 games take up? Is it pretty reasonable? I would imagine they would take up WAY too much space for it to be worth it for me having them on there. After all, I only have a 60 gig hard drive and I've heard that if anything every happens to my old 60 gigger sony will not repair it if I have had a different hard drive installed. : (
Black Ops and Assassins Creed Brotherhood will probably be purchases for me, but in my opinion that is all that excites me in the least. I want so bad for some of those heavy-hitting Sony exclusives to hit before Christmas, but I know that I have to wait. LittleBigPlanet2, Killzone 3, Resistance 3, DC Online MMO, and much, much more. However, the biggest release I am going to lose my mind waiting for is Twisted Metal X. I know GT5 is coming before Christmas, but I have just never been a racin...
Can't wait to do me some sniping next year! Woo hoo! I hope Black-ops is good enough to hold me off until then cause I got a feeling that KZ3 is gonna be the shooter of the year. Or generation. : )
Dang I hate the way 85 percent of people play this game. They run around full speed like retards spraying bullets everywhere with little or no sense of tact. This is why I love Killzone 2 and Bad Company 2. There is just SO much more opportunity for team-play and tactics. I know that in the end I will probably just end up getting this because I do always enjoy COD games and so far my favorites have been COD 4 (of course) and WAW. I'm just hoping that this one encourages some true team g...
I don't understand it but every time I play a new COD I soon say "All right I've had enough of COD. No more for me." But somehow the COD bug manages to bite me again and I have to say I'm excited for this game. However, after having played Bad Company 2, Killzone 2 and other shooters I can honestly say that I do NOT care for most of the maps in COD games. I Thought the maps in COD 4 were decent but I hated most of the maps in MW2.
In my opinion, the maps...
Man I so hope they put Split-screen in this baby. When Killzone 2 came out there was nothing more miserable than me having my friends over to play games and having to just take turns playing. I wanted soooo bad to show off the splendor of Killzone 2, but we couldn't all play at once and have a ball. Please give us some splitscreen Guerilla! Then your game when be total, final and complete epicness in it's entirety. Boo yah!
Actually Lyric I would argue that sales do matter, but not for the reason that one side or another can gloat and "cheerlead" their favorite company going forward. I will be the first to admit that I am a Playstation guy through and through and I have many friends who prefer 360. Naturally I would like to see Sony leading the way in sales because I have watched and examined each of the major console companies and in my very humble opinion I have found Sony to be the most innovative, ...
Wow. I had very high hopes for this game (the PS3 version), but I have a bad feeling that if this thing flops on PC they might just skip the PS3 iteration all-together. This might sound absurd, but look at The Last Remnant. It started out as a game for both PS3 and 360 and it became a timed exclusive for the 360, flopped hard, and was totally just cancelled on the PS3. We could be seeing a repeat of this pattern, folks-with the PC playing the role as the 360 this time around. : (

Wow. The graphics and gameplay already looks MUCH more fluid and polished than the previous Socom. If I'm not mistaken this new socom is being handled by Zipper and the last one was done by Slant Six. I enjoyed Socom: Confrontation when I rented it, but it was so dang buggy I never bought it. I wasn't very excited for this title until I just watched this footage. Okay. You win Zipper. I'm excited!!
I agree 100 percent on the Thumper return Relientk77. However, Club Kid was from Twisted Metal 4, which really brings back some sad memories as this was number 2 of the two sucky Twisted Metal entries and I really cannot bring myself to find something positive that came out of those two twisted metal titles. I'm sure there were some cool characters in those two games but.......oh my......3 and 4 were just total travesties. Bad. Um. Just........bad. : (
Yeah I see what you're saying Exquisik. I ranked up very well with the sniper class because that is my strong point in skill level. I am a very good sniper. However I am very average as an assault player or "in your face" type class therefore it takes me longer to level up. I imagine you are probably very skilled in FPS games and one of the more elite players. I am not which makes it very difficult for me to gain ranks.
On the controls I actually did like the controls ...
Yeah this is old news but I NEVER tire hearing news on Twisted Metal. My absolute favorite franchise of all time and my all time favorite character! Rock on and bring it Jaffe!!
Wow. Just wow. That is one pretty game. Guerilla Games and Sony have absolutely worked their tail-ends off on this game and for that I just hope this game sells 8 million copies as a reward for those guys working so hard to make such a fantastic exclusive title. They deserve to have a HUGE community on this title and I hope they get it. I have only two qualms with Killzone 2 that I personally would like to see changed: It took WAY too long to level up on that game for some of the classes (en...
I have loved my psp for the few game experiences that I couldn't have anywhere else like Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep, Twisted Metal: Head On, Final Fantasy: Crisis Core and War of the Lions. But all in all, what I personally have always wanted to see in a handheld is the ability to continue playing the games on my main system (PS3) on the go. That is what I mainly what a handheld for. I mean it's neat to have totally different experiences, but all in all I want to be able to take m...
Alright I'm officially excited BUT: Give me back my weapon wheel. Don't you DARE take out the split-screen coop ever again. And if you really want me to keep coming back to this game I would like to not have to play the game for ten hours on the online multiplayer before I rank up ONE TIME. Resistance 2 had one of the SLOWEST ranking up systems I have every seen. I know I'm not one of the elite players, but still I shouldn't have to give my life, soul, spirit, and mind to the ...
I really LOVED the world, characters, story, and just about everything about the first one EXCEPT-and this is a biggie for me- the combat. I really just did not care for the combat as it felt too clunky and almost like it was set on automatic most of the time. I just didn't feel very connected to the combat. Most of the time it felt like if I just hit the X button one time and let it go that I could just leave and let the game do whatever and get about the same results as if I sat there a...
I never played FF11, but I have been SO stinking excited for this game (on PS3). I think it looks absolutely awesome but here is my question for some of you guys: I don't understand how a console (the PS3) can struggle with memory issues compared to a PC. I know that PC's have WAY more ram and whatnot, but isn't most of that eaten by other programs and such? I would think that a game console in which almost all of the memory goes to actual game-playing would have less memory issue...
You know people told me I was an idiot 4 years ago when I shelled out 600 bucks on a brand new PS3, and maybe I was a bit hasty. However, I have always been a careful buyer and strive to support companies that I believe really stand behind their products and try their best to provide quality and value to their customers. THIS is why I have been with Sony for 3 console generations and will remain with them. I had faith in the beginning that they would turn things around and boy have they. I am...
yuk. I don't want that company (Microsoft) soiling my beloved company (sony). I'm happy with the way sony operates now. I don't want Microcrap messin em up. Plain and simple.
