Not really, those are experienced devs working with hundreds of people for quite some time on the game and they dont have the need to lie about everything they do. Also, the beta showed the game isnt a mess like the other game you talk about,

Not all but many of them yes. But as we see with PS3 its way faster than Xbox 360 games get shut down. Little Big Planet, GT, Resistance and MLB are just a few Sony IPs that got shut down way before they should have been.
But why would people still have a PS3 set up when they buy a new system? Most people sell the older ones anyway.
Thats why they need BC, keeps games alive. But what do I know

Well, the newest AAA game is from 2014 and thats a remaster. Besides that it could be a good deal in a few years when they have more support. Right now its old indies for the most part

I think you dont understand how popular those games are. Heck, you can buy a new xbox one for 150$. Its not like anyone at this point is still held back by the high price. PES wont ever be bigger because they dont have the licences for 95% of the Teams and their is nothing that rivals Madden. Even if Sony makes a NFL game, they dont have the licence = noone cares.
EA is ruled by people, people like money, do you think they give a sht if they get enough $?? Microsoft just has 150 Billion $ laying around, of course they can get EA
They bought linkedin for 26 billion and that deal was actually a waste. EA is a money maker and "only" worth 27 Billion. If they want it, they get it.
