I think he just wants to do something new, as we have seen before activision doesn't take risks the way it did during the atari-ps2 days. Personally i kinda respect the guy, he was one of the few activision guys to say something good about bf3, which takes balls when you were in the position he was in
It wouldn't surprise me out of activision, i personally think it probably had to do with a tweet he posted yesterday. That pretty much confirmed there were hackers, as it happened right after he posted it.

I doubt they will get to $70, all the game companies are probably gonna make their next consoles easy to develop for and that should keep the cost down.

I doubt microsoft wants steam on xbox because steam has pretty much killed any money microsoft was making on the pc, why would they want it on their own console, especially when steam has a free online that is almost equal to the xbox live service
