Actually, it DOES make sense since it's $30.
If hacking the PS3 becomes successful, the PS3 could potentially die just like the PSP did. Software sales falling to an all time low, potential malware attacks, etc.
Edit: Because PSP titles have up to almost 5 times the freebies to actual purcases (Disidia Final Fantasy being the best example). But that's all IMO.
BTW, the PS3 this still relies on software sales for profit, and you can see the average PS3 sales... (hint: no where near the other plat...
