RFoM2 has 6 times as much players per room then gears 2, Kz1 was not a flop. It was a solid game, and KZ2 looks to shut-up any nay-sayers about the series.
KZ2 looks much better in gameplay vids.

at first, the game looked like every other FPS, and i thought it was crap. But as the video went on i got more and more excited. Thought the weapons felt a bit roughly animated. though.
you forgot Prototype, Dead Space, and that amazingly shaded Naruto game.

thats not exactly true either, sony is starting new franchizes but their getting continuations of them as well. Killzone 2, MGS4, GT5, GTA4, God of War. are all continuations.
i am sure your vision has much much more in store.
