Yes they could be placeholders, but its still interesting all the same as they are probably in the know so the games could still be released around that time.
AS for Tomb Raider being Game of the Year? I think it has a very high chance of achieving that :)
I think this could be great for the series, rather than just completing levels you could gain other rewards like new abilities or weapons :)

I don't think you actually know anything about how developers work, programming for a completely new console is hell. The hardware is completely new and most of the time there is little-to-no documentation with it.
Hadn't thought of the zombies mode going up against L4D. Although I can their similarities, I think overall they are very different products
I have to say that my flat-mates and me have been playing the zombies map constantly, we play it more than the competitive multiplayer

I love this game, but it is one of those games where the more people you play with, the better the experience is.
If Nintendo do announce their new console before Sony and Microsoft, they will regret it. Microsoft did it early with this generation and had multiple hardware faults
