The reason they cost so much is because they no longer make them yet the WiiU is dependent on the Wii catalogue being more of a hybrid between current gen and next gen.
So you have all these new Wii U players wanting to play them in addtion to the Wii players and the problem is compounded by the Wii's very small library of quality games in relation to the crap games you can get for a dollar.

i agree. i dont think the wii u will price cut any further. they're going to let us play games at best buy tho and hopefully they'll have more games for cores to turn things around.
I just hope vitas memory cards get a price cut. the system itself is fine at 250 with all the deals retailers give.

nice system. needs games. never had a wii so the 4 wii games i own will occupy me for a while. i like that I dont need an additional ethernet cord because it's wirless. i also like that i dont have to buy an external harddrive yet because saves dont take up much space and neither do virtual console downloads.

i got mine for $230 at target. no sense in getting bothered by $30. I got a free psn subscription and $50 credit on psn. not only that but now ive been also getting around $10 free psn credit per month through the sony rewards program.

@soldierone one of my roomates in college did that with 3-4 wiis to help pay for his car. I couldnt believe people were willing to pay so much. why wouldnt they just preorder?

The demo was super short, but good. Controls take a little bit to get used to but felt good.
The game was pretty much Resident Evil meets Red Dead REdemption. The camera style very much reminded me of Dead SPace 2 only with better graphics. Other than that it had a sweet crafting system providing you with a reason to scavenge for items and combat was strategic in terms of dealing with enemies to conserve your stuff.
