That would be nice for the player, but you have to realize that they need people to constantly create new content for a game like this to be sucessful.

If you ask me, I think Nintendo is too afraid to make games for core gamers anymore. It's like they have this mindset that their audience is a bunch of 10 year olds and they're going to stick to pushing that until they're bankrupt.
DKCR alone was worth buying a WiiU since I skipped their previous gimmick. A bit too pixar but otherwise a solid game and a model for what other games on the console should aspire to in terms of reboots. Looking forward to DKC TF.
Skyward Sword was a long, linear turd though. So i hope they get some more news on the zelda wiiu soon so i know how low to set my expectations.

In all seriousness, half the stuff they showed off on the 8/7 nintendo direct is the type of stuff that would get buried in a PSN update. It wouldn't even be good enough to be the free game or make a headline.

i've spent more time doodling than i have playing wii u games so i'll probably buy this to draw nicer pictures complaining for more games. We have to support these morons with their stupid digital stuff that should be free since they can't profit off making games for gamers anymore.
Nintendo direct for 8/7 was a pretty big disappointment. All they have to show off is games from the 80s and casual kid stuff. They really need some youngblood to replace their manage...
Unless you plan on playing local multiplayer, the new mario game looks kinda disappointing to me mainly because it has no online coop. I'd say pick one up in November for DKC Tropical Freeze tho.

The problem here is they need to win back gamers but they built the system around another gimmick. Only some solid exclusive games will save them.
They're already selling the things at a loss at $300 per basic. Retailers are selling them at huge price cuts ontop of that. The only way you're getting a $200 Wii is if it is dead in 2014...

I'm actually playing through GTA Liberty City Stories on the Vita and my character is decked out in the exact outfit with the samurai sword right now. Really great game. Pretty much GTA III on handheld with bikes.
I'm sure there'll be plenty of weapons not to mention weapon mods!!
But i'm totally dressing up one of the 3-4 main characters in an enter the dragon/kill bill jumpsuit if it's an option.
