It is not only that, this is also probably the best year in gaming since 2001 and 1998.
I'm actually playing through Jak 2 right now for probably about the 10th time, it is actually more difficult than most single player games today except for Dark Souls.
Jak 2 is also my personal favorite in the series (although Jak and Daxter and Jak 3 were also excellent), it was the longest to beat for me and the gap between it and the first Jak and Daxter game was HUGE.
Such a shame that Activision slapped on Spyro's name for that shitty Skylanders game.
PS1 Spyro is the shit, the Spyro series had the best platforming the PS1 had to offer (alongside Crash Bandicoot).
lol 360 is so alive in Japan right now
What is it with people who constantly hate on Neogaf??? Is there a particular reason why?
OMG that was so good
@Biggest
Not everybody who has bought/going to buy Battlefield 3 has also bought Battlefield: Bad Company 2.
Nice 10 for Arkham City
Same, I don't even bother to buy games at 60$ anymore (there is a few exceptions like Uncharted) seeing as so many games drop to 30$ or 40$ in a matter of a few months.
Yeah, I'm thinking this is a good time to replace my fat 80GB PS3 that is almost 4 years old now.
You are forgetting White Knight Chronicles 2 (which comes with the first game as well, so it is like buying 2 games all in one package) and Disgaea 4.
Both of those games are PS3 exclusives.
Just checked my email inbox and yes I have a code :).
Thank you to whoever wrote/submitted this article for the heads up!
Agreed. Summer actually gives me a good amount of time to catch up and buy all the good games that I happened to miss out on.
The summer also gives me some time to complete any games I've already had in my library for a while and hadn't completed yet.
So, I don't really care too much that not many blockbuster games are released in the summer.
I agree with AhmadCentral.
This game is a great improvement upon DW6, which I too, hated with a passion.
Also I must say, Koei really did a great job on Kingdom Mode. You can get anywhere from 15 - 25 hours of gameplay out of all 4 of the kingdom's story modes in total, depending on the difficulty you play on. Which to be honest, is longer then a lot of game's single player campaigns today.
Plus, there is conquest mode.
I am aware of that but the last iteration of the Need For Speed franchise (Hot Pursuit) just came in October or November.
Already?
I'm sorry but this game is coming out WAY to soon, even though it wasn't the same studio that worked on Hot Pursuit but still. ...
Good list, I'm still undecided on what games to ask for for Christmas and my parents are bugging me about it too. I'll have to make a wishlist pretty soon.
They have to add trophies for the upcoming game MGS:Rising. Any video game that has development for the PS3 in the year of 2009 or any year later MUST have trophies.
It is part of the policy and Sony wouldn't let Konami release it on their system. Same with the Xbox 360.
Yup, judging by the gameplay I've seen it's a mix of Dynasty Warriors and Kessen, seems to be leaning more to the Dynasty Warriors aspect though....
Should I bother to get Assassins Creed: Revelations right away if the only Assassins Creed game that I beat was the 2nd? Or should I play and beat brotherhood first before getting Revelations?
Such a damn big backlog, lol.
