$ony might copy Nintendo this time around from the start seeing how they underestimated the DS brand and the disaster case of Move. M$ on other hand won't make a gamepad with screen, because they are stuck with Kinect. :)

I see this as one time update for the Wii support. U don't have to be connected all the time to play Wii games. ;)

Yes that's the real question. I think it will get all the multiplatform games. This is not SD vs. HD anymore. Maybe a little lower resolution or some other little bells and whistles missing but it will be due to the gamepad screen, which will compensate for all this with gameplay. And I'm sure most people won't see the differences in the graphics at all, except some tech nerd here. ;)

Maybe there are some safety reasons behind this ? I don't think that they are not ready. This is Nintendo. They almost never patch or do things the last minute. I see this like some sort of unlocking for the system.. :)

Negativity will go on, as long as Wii U gets lazy current gen ports made for the PS3 and Xbox360. Thing will be better when all the next gen consoles have GPGPU. I doubt the Wii U will take the back seat like the PS3 when nex gen games are developed for similar architectures. :)
