Reasons I Hate Tekken
1)Why the fireballs and lightening? Its over the top. It just doesnt "look right"
2)Lame characters. Is it Jin? the guy with big black wings? ok, rip that guy out of the game and make an rpg based on him with absolutely no references to tekken gameplay.... ok maybe a little bit on a mini game.... I WOULD BUY THAT! the guy looks freakin awesome and powerful. The other characters are meh. a wood man? a robot? some alien/samurai? the ...
just curious, how much do you think the hype is effecting review scores? If this was a title released by a small dev team with little to no hype, do you think it would score straight 10's across the board?
EDIT: I applaud the intelligence of someone who can disagree with a question....

The only reason anyone could say gears was more fun is because the enemies just stand there and cop round after round. its too easy. In uncharted the ai jumps and dodges. they actualy move like they aren't bullet sponges. which is odd because they are. Uncharted on easy plays somewhat like gears on hard. The only thing ive heard anyone say negative on uncharted is the difficulty
Gabe had beter be careful he doesnt end up becoming redundent.
Look at RARE and the team that did Golden Eye 64. At one time they were the best, but for whatever reason they didnt step up and look at them (Free Radical) now....
Valve may have had some good games (apart from portal i Haven't liked any of them) but that doesnt exclude them from having to continue pushing forward and adapting to new tech.
Infinity ward have to capable of 'tat' for that to happen.
KZ2 hitting 720P is mighty impressive. For infinity ward to hit that, with the same amount of detail/AI/Graphical capability on BOTH consoles is going to be epic hard.
Its going to be interesting to see wha COD6 throws out there. I mean, releasing 6 or so months after KZ2, surely you would think they would want to compete on an immersion and graphics level....
If (and thats an IF)the 360 cant meet the level of KZ2, are IW going to go for brok ad try and optimise the ps3 version to compete with KZ, or are they going to hold both back and risk being pretty much mocked?

While I agree with you that the way sony appears to handle its 1st and 2nd party dev teams is great for producing great games i think they eally need to push development early on in the consoles life. If Uncharted, Ratchet and Clank Future and gt5P (or full release) had been launch titles I think the ps3 would have bolted out of the gates. The problem (depending on your perspective) is that their consoles tend to be on the frontier of new technology at the time of releas...
Well if the ps3 is making them alot of money, as was reported here a while ago, why wouldnt they make it for the ps3 as well?

oh come on. Is No one going to even bring up that MotorStorm: PR's engine was rebuilt from the ground up to accomodate 4 player split screen? Huh? Or are we going to argue half truths?
Fact is alot of the look of games that passes on to sequals is art direction. Ie, Motor storm, Ratchet and clank, Resistance, Killzone->Killzone 2, even the Metal Gear Solid series that have branched over 3 console generations have their own distinctive art style.
