1. Mr.Fanboy PSvita has gimmicks( cough rear touch pad cough), everything starts out as a gimmick, remember when analog sticks and D-pads were gimmicks.
2. Holiday season and the addition of good games WILL push sales... why wld gamers be afraid if the 3ds is selling better than ds (best selling handheld all time) in its first year.

was 3d without glasses mainstream? no. terrible launch. no... good launch... no. I think you forgetting that 5-6 million people own this thing. Zelda is beast with updated graphics and whatnot so is starfox. besides the sexy games on thier way. a lot of them will be here before the us vita release.

I will probably get a Vita but ppl... no matter how you slice it 250+ SD Card+ 1 games or 300+SD card+1 game is still expensive. While it is graphically awesome I'm not understanding whats innovative about it. It just as innovative as 3DS. The 3DS had the nice 3D and the Vita has back touchpads. It's not really innovative, just really cool and about to tear a hole in my wallet.
Less gimmicky than DS? Atleast this time its got the graphics to back it up though.
@ScytheX3 that's why a high end rig cost 2000 bucks... you know i could buy 3 wiiUs with that and still have a AROUND 800 dollars for games. one WiiU good 2009 PC graphics Dx 10.1 about 399. I respect what your saying for the most part. However I'm here to fix the conception that WiiU is weak based on the demos at E3. Compare a 2005-2009 PC. There have been some huge graphical leaps in the last few years. With WiiU boasting at least a GIG of RAM and a much better graphics chip. A slight graphics leap is like saying PS3 is just PS2 HD which we all no is not true. I think the WiiPAD will be cool and used a lot by devs for single player games but for multiplayer games the Wiimo...
Your obviously a PC gamer... WiiU= like a high end 2008 pc or mid 2009... for consoles that ridiculously powerful for a console. Its quad core and has 1-1.5GB of RAM plus and updated chip BASED ON BUT NOT EXACTLY THE SAME as the r4800... that pretty good compared to ps3 and 360 considering PS4 is likely to be same level or a little stronger than WiiU and 720 is likely to be a bit sronger than that. I predict a console gen of very close graphics and great multiplats... plus awesome exclusives ...

Nintendo isn't stupid enough to annouce a new model just when sales are picking and they are releasing new colors and add-ons. Its probably a killer new IP, MarioKart and the 3D Video plus Facebook integration and maybe a revamped friend system with messages.
