It's really not the same ... WiiU pad is a good controller the vita is a good handheld... The WiiU will never compete with the vita in terms of handhelds and the vita will never compete with WiiU in terms of a controller...
It does have framerate problems but it never sub 20... that would be unplayable... its like 23-26 fps

interesting note; the 3ds has been selling to a more mature audience lately (resident Evil, metal gear, even kid icarus is too hard for little kids... plus the story, even with jokes is over their heads) this whole Vita= adults, 3DS= little kids. I;m still technically a kid and theyre are a lot of reason why a kid would buy a 3DS over a Vita or a Vita over a 3DS. It doesnt have anything with age, just with what kind of games you like... right now 3DS has a wider variety... Vita will get more ...
I got it and finished in 11 1/2 hours... truly an amazing game... now trying to get good at MP.
3DS is going up because of Kid Icarus... I can not wait for that game... only 10 more hours!!!
