The graphics don't look "way better" they look similar, and maybe you just aren't used to seeing PC games look as good as they do. Also comparing a Valve game to a genuinely milked year-in-year-out series of games, nice.
kaveti it's a completely new engine built from the ground up. It shares a lot of functionality with GoldSrc/Quake because Valve are used to the framework those engines use. It's from 2004, but it would have been earlier if one German hacker had left well alone.
Yeah but TF2 was cheap as hell and is still infinitely more replayable than L4D.
Exactamundo! I won't be buying this until it's $20 or less.
Lol, what you can get away with a patent these days. I'm sure these people patented drinking water and using the toilet.
This.
The graphics aren't hot, they are just okay. People aren't buying this for graphics they're buying it because its a ZI PS3 game and it looks like fun.
Copyright the idea..open source.. does not compute.
Indeed I was quite impressed by the amount of stuff in the demo.
Would you kindly disable the multiplayer for people who haven't finished the story?
Man, people think MMO devs are money grubbing but so many of them lose their jobs because of lack of popularity, it's a shame; the amount of work these people put in and it's really a big risk because if your game isn't as good as the competition, nobody is going to pay to play.
Like the Theatre mode from Halo 3? Pretty good..
This isn't really big news... call me when L4D2 becomes free DLC :D
I love W&G from my younger days and Telltale can't make a bad game, so I'm gonna try this series out.
LaChance why do you have to troll? If you said things more objectively maybe you'd have more bubbles.
Splinter Cell Conviction does look really nice though, love that franchise. Will be downloading it on PC :)
Gears 2 and Resistance 2 didn't include the campaigns of the originals in them. The full campaign source level files are available for L4D1 now, so even if Valve doesn't port them, the community just has to press F9 and compile them. Call that fair? L4D was a beta, people who bought it should feel shafted.
@darth
They wanted to make and sell it cheaply, so they don't offer HD output and the hardware inside is only really as capable as the gamecube so if you did bump up the settings to 720p standards you'd have a slideshow of a game, and a lot of melted Wiis :P
The only one who brought race into anything was you, you ignorant fool.
Poopface I agree except with #3.. hosting games on user connections and consoles ruins the fun for everyone else at times..
The old "on my couch" argument, and LOL not PC gaming for security reasons.. people on this site crack me up.
