Europe release still to come as well, pity it is digital release only but thats better than not coming at all.
Listen it is impossible to count sold to customer numbers. Sold to retailers isn't some fake number, this is the number the company Microsoft/Playstation has sold. That is where they make there money, therefore if Sony has shipped more than Microsoft then they have sold more than Microsoft and vice versa. Official shipped numbers have not been released yet so nobody actually knows 100%. But please kids stop getting all upset about the sold shipped argument, it's invalid.
Depending on how long the Europe release is after the rest of the world will depend on if I import or not.
Pretty much every online subscription based service does this, including Live. At least with the PS3 it is easy to turn off. Some services do almost everything they can to stop you doing this by making the process a complete headache.
Joe is one of my favourite Youtubers and I have a lot of respect for him and the content he produces. I can understand from an outside point of view why Joe and old school DMC fans may not like the new Dante.
Unfortunately I have not experienced previous DMC games yet and this is my first game of the series. I am really enjoying it, I like the story and I like the new Dante, also I actually thought the part with the 'mop hair piece' was pretty funny.

This situation sort of reminds me of Mass Effect in a way, that being those who spent over 200 hours playing through all three games weren't happy with the end result were as those who didn't invest that time or didn't invest themselves into the franchise as much as some couldn't understand the problem.
For Mass Effect I was on the side of those who felt let down, however this is my first DMC game and I am really enjoying the game, I like Dante as a character ...
Don't worry Mezzo I get the joke!
Steam sales are going to be a fantastic selling point for the console. It will be interesting to see how Sony, Microsoft & Nintendo compete now that they are all going to be in direct competition. I personally think the system will be very successful.
Yeah its good to here from Miyazaki, he is a guy I trust and even though he is barely involved in the development at least he is there to protect what makes the Souls games great. Still won't be the same without him but hopefully not as much will change as we first presumed.
He might mean there are more sections in the game that improve upon gameplay with coop. Solving puzzles with friends or taking on bosses, this would work if they could implement a system were you can invite a friend. But this would greatly change the original model and I to believe summoning someone to help you don't know in the slightest is unique to the Souls series, sort of the same feeling as when you go through a game like Journey with a complete stranger.
Could also have kept the name Dark Souls to try and build on a brand. The first game did fairly well and built some solid foundations. However I agree I would have preferred them to change the name (keeping the souls obviously) and gave us a completely different game and story, like what they did with Demon Souls to Dark Souls.
But Dark Souls does have a great story and world with so much we didn't see in the first game, so I'm not unhappy with the decision regarding ...
He uses a glitch which cuts out half of the game... Some people don't count that as a complete run some do. There are some Japanese players who beat the full game un-glitched in 57 minutes which was very impressive.
Anyone I have heard taking about this game only has great things to say and it's great it is getting a sequel. However, this makes the fact that we don't have it in US/Europe even more depressing. Even if they could release it on the E-shop, I just want to experience this game!
Unfortunately I agree, I love Dark Souls and got deep into the lore. People were wondering why so many dragons were used in the trailer expecting it to be a prequel to the original game. My answer is simple, one of the biggest selling points of Skyrim was dragons, it works the same way as including zombies into a game. Its a marketing technique to rake in all those gamers than bought Skyrim.
Launching on a new console, being one of, possibly the only fantasy rpg to be release...
Good point Knifefight
I'm looking forward to the release date, there are a few titles such as Ground Zeros that claim they are coming out on current generation consoles. However if the next generation systems come out 2013 will those titles switch platform?
I think all of us 'hardcore' Souls fans fear what this article speaks of. At the moment there is nothing we can do but wait, there will be decisions made we hate and ones we love. In the end we will more than likely get used to the changes like we did with Demon Souls to Dark Souls.
To be completely honest GTA 4 didn't grab me as much as the previous games. A part of me thought Rockstar had lost that quality that made their games stand out. That was until Red Dead Redemption which was fantastic, I am actually much more excited about a sequel to that game compared to GTA 5. My expectations are lower but I think that is a good thing because when the game comes out I will be even more satisfied with the end result, because everybody knows deep down it will be a great ga...
