Who the hell stacks game consoles? And people wonder why consoles overheat and fail. lol
Let me ask you a question, are you running a Windows PC? Cause if so I think MS might have a better way to "spy" on you than through a device that you have to buy separately vs something 90% of people in major countries own. So many paranoid people out there.
I never had a single problem with any of the 360's I own/owned, I have a launch day 360 core without HDMI that's still running to this day which was on very nearly 24/7 and was my main gaming system through many many games (thousands of hours? more?), an early release Elite that's still running, and a new Slim that I got this past November that's been running great too. I do admit that a lot of 360's had problems but I think a lot of it was greatly exaggerated OR that a lo...

No official policy.
I agree I don't think if one system does it the other is not, both have been fuzzy over things regarding used games etc, it'd be pretty poor planning to let one system have it and then you yourself not do it.
I think as it sits right now it's a game of chicken between MS and Sony, both are waiting for the other to come out with what they are going to do before making a decision themselves.
I think Gamestop and MAJOR retailers that sell used games now will most likely have a system in place whereby they place the game you trade-in to them into a machine that connects to MS's servers and deactivates the game from all accounts. Makes sense to me, if you think about it Gamestop was investing a bunch of money in trading DLC and digital content which this makes sense as it's basically one in the same with this.
The other thing thats far-fetched but I'd li...
it's a false positive.
Wow, as someone who is actually going to school for game design, programming and computer science, this is pretty ridiculous, I actually had always dreamed of getting my game onto consoles, but now it seems like it'll be a hassle, at least on Microsoft's system which sucks because I've been messing around with XNA dev kit for months now for the 360.
@BitbyDeath LOL I've been in the PC tech industry for years now and MS has always had major blunders, I do however think the first Xbox was pretty good, even though during that generation I actually preferred the Gamecube
Another disappointment as an Xbox fan, I already own a $120 headset that has very high-fidelity, why should I have to buy a new one? hopefully 3rd parties will design some sort of an adapter at some point.
Yep, if E3 rolls around and these things still aren't clear I'll just upgrade my PC or build a new one or something. The whole situation is very dishearting as an Xbox gamer.
Big perk with a lot of downsides, I'd rather require the disc be in after install and be able to rent and lend games and buy used without fees or other BS.
The scary part is no one is really confirming or denying any of this on either side, Sony side basically said it was up to the developer, but things can change at any time, my problem is, why would any company trying to remain competitive, put restrictions on something they sell if they thought their competition wasn't going to do the same? seems like bad business and love or hate Microsoft they've always been good at the business part of things for the most part.
I d...
Well we already heard the rumors of the Xbox Mini, this will probably be it. The sad part is it'll be better than Xbox one... bah how disappointed I am as an Xbox fan.
lol I don't really care, if people do then good, if not oh well, but I have to say something as an Xbox fan, this shit is just terrible.
I'm an Xbox fan and I'm disappointed, a big non-selling point for me is still the uncertainty of used games, the uncertainty of being able to share games with family who live in the same house as me but have separate consoles, etc, why should I have to own a single player game that someone who lives with me has and is 20 feet away? It makes no sense, and makes no sense for the "market". Let me give you an example here:
I played Dragon Age: Origins originally...
Then they wouldn't have an Xbox.
I will also state no backwards compatibility at all really kind of ticked me off, I have well over 150 Xbox 360 games (not including arcade titles and indie titles) and not being able to play them on the next console really kind of makes me loose interest in investing, i have no stock or reason to buy it as I'll still have to have my current 360 hooked up taking up space.
No, but whats the point in putting out $400+ in a new console day one and not having them? Indie games are fine, but it's not going to make me go "OMG! let me go spend $400 to play it!"
If I wanna play Indie games I'll buy an Ouya and save $300 bucks.
