I want them to reboot everything after code veronica and retell the story in a way that fits with RE2 and RE3 remake
I think they should Remake RE4 but only if they reboot the remaining story there to get it back on track with RE2 and RE3 remake.

I was thinking that, I personally think they should just remake every main game going forward in the same style as RE2 and RE3 remake but also Code Veronica, basically bring us back to the year 2000 when Code veronica came out and just retell the story from there, pretend RE4,5,6 etc never came out and lets reboot the story after Code Veronica.
I agree with you that this is where the series died, but remaking 4 could be a good thing if they remake it in the RE2 & RE3 remake style, that could help fix the latter half of this franchise, but if they remake it in the same style as the original RE4 its unnecessary
I agree with you, I don't think they should change up Code Veronica though, remake it but leave the game how it is and then remake and make the necessary changes to RE4. Capcom has a good opportunity to fix the mess they created, I've been playing RE since the 1st and the story and gameplay of the future RE's became something that was no longer RE starting with RE4, RE4 was a great game but it just wasn't Resident Evil. I dont understand why everybody is freaking out saying how good this game looks, when its literally just a cinematic, I want to see gameplay, I hate this new trend of showing only cinematic and cgi trailers.

Only thing I agree with is the nemesis design, the screenshot they showed looks more like something from DOOM than from RE, I hope that changes or maybe its just that photo, either way I liked the original Nemesis design better, as for Jill and Carlos, they look great imo, Jill looks like original Jill but updated and Carlos actually has a distinct look this time around.
They showed -4 seconds of gameplay how can you possibly say that, that might be the beginning of the game or something, how about lets wait for more info, or until the game actually comes out

Ok after seeing your explanation, i see where you are coming from, I thought this game was great but missed a lot of things that didnt return as they should, such as the beginning as you stated with a longer route to the RPD, the original way of introducing kendo gun shop, the extended take on the lab etc...
