Hmm yes "DLS" = DownLoadable S##t, I'm glad the author undersatnds how poor the MW2 DLC is :)
"Mass Effect 2 is packed with more weapons, better action and tough choices and major consequences" and this review is packed full of spoilers, don't watch it if you haven't already finished the game.
They even show a clip from the game's final cinematic!!!
The prospect of number 10 is truly terrifying
take a look at the article i'm pretty sure the characters included in this pack are not the pre-order characters, unless the characters i got here in the UK were different to elseware. Anyway if you take a look at the character list in-game you'll see that there is room for at least two more to be added. So even if these aren't new characters you can bet on new characters being released with future multiplayer dlc packs.
It's official, Microsoft spent $50 million on timed exclusivity for dlc. At what point did they consider that to be a smart business decision.
I'm sorry microsoft i love my 360, but my respect for you has hit an all time low :(
My mistake sorry, its apparently dated for 9th to 13th March.
Do you know of any big gaming events in Febuary where footage might be shown?
In the article it says that the two videos will be released after the game is shown at an event, which would suggest Microsoft will show it during their keynote at GDC 2010 next month. My guess anyway.
Silly Microsoft, should be more careful when handling delicate equipment
anyone notice the achievement for upgrading a weapon fully, i'm guessing that weapon upgrading will be exclusive to the soldier class, now that all classes can use all weapon types. Though we'll probably find out in a couple of days when they post the soldier class walkthrough
Tough yes but not too tough, because if someone had to choose between the two the PS3 Slim is the sensible choice: blu-ray player, far more reliable hardware, better announced games lineup, and with the two having the same sized hard drives there really is no upside to the Elite other than the fact that it comes with a headset.
If these companies are delaying to avoid MW2 then it won't help much that with so many games being pushed into early 2010 they're going to have stiff competition for sales with each other and big hitters like ME2 and GOW3
The fact that there was nothing from Rare at E3 suggests that the majority of the "incredible" games lineup will be from them, I think 2 games is most likely
wouldn't actually surprise me, because i expected splinter cell to be shown in the ubisoft press conference, threfore the fact that mass effect wasn't shown at the microsoft conference suggests timed exclusivity at best
It's not exactly a "me too" take on the genre considering prototype was announced well before infamous was if I remember correctly.
SPOILERS:
-Killed the council
-Saved Wrex
-Let Ashley die
-Played as paragon character
Edit @ above: fairly similar, I killed the council to allow captain Anderson to get the position he deserved, plus the council really pissed me off throughout the game with their "ignore everthing your saying" kind of attitude
at first I thought that Mass Effect 2 and Splinter Cell conviction could also fit into that "announced" category, but apparently the Ubisoft and EA conferences are on the same day so I guess they'll be shown there. I don't know who organised that or whether Microsoft specifically requested their press conferences to take place on the same day, but I think its a smart move: having all the "big" exclusives being shown on the same day.
Can't wait till monday. <...
... though it wouldn't surprise me if they broke an embargo to post this, as this kind of news looks like it would be revealed at E3 next week. Certainly the fact that bigger sites like IGN and kotaku haven't posted anything suggests that they were under embargo, they certainly would know about it because it is big news.
I wonder whether they've tried rocks. Though I would like to see that.
you'd expect no less from an industry legend
