This whole trend of AAA vs. Indies need to go away. All it is doing is holding developers back with fear from a small minority of people saying one or the other is better.

I love the way this shows that people ARE and WILL buy new consoles for indie games instead of rejecting them outright for the slowly evolving "AAA" games. Indies are becoming more "AAA" to me because they are actually going out of their way to give us new experiences and change game design for the better. Video games are Art and should be appreciated in that way.

With all the talk of techniques from TLOU:Remastered being learned and transferred to UC4, I am very interested in seeing how this remaster turns out. I don't want to hype it up and it just include better shadows, improved AA, and small texture details, but I would love for it to come out and blow us away with what we couldn't think was possible. We shall see
I wish they would sneak some stealth exclusive releases in there just to help this year. There are a lot of smaller title releases that are to come that I am excited for.
I'm excited for the potential of virtual reality. I know it'll take quite some time for things to evolve, and techniques to be established, but i'm excited to be at the forefront of something like this. At 19, I wasn't able to see games naturally evolve for the past 35 years, so its exciting to be getting to experience this.
Its seriously just a matter of the developers getting a hold of the X1's architecture and tools. Time will develop the tools on the software side, which in turn, will help squeeze all the power that it can out of the hardware side. I hate the fact that 1080p and 60 fps are the most talked about topics when it comes to video games now...
Just the thought of upgrading in multiplayer though makes my imagination go rampant. Higher jumps, faster sprints, longer jet boosters, throw grenades further, quicker dart/dodge recovery, etc etc etc.

These engines that devs are currently using (games that are coming out within the year or next, so technically they're phasing them out) can only do so much. Plus, these new consoles have differing architecture from their predecessors, meaning that these engines that were specialized to work efficiently for x360 and ps3 architecture and not x1 and ps4 hardware. It's just a matter of time before devs get the hang of the new architecture and new engines and 1080p 60fps will be completel...
I personally like the gear dependent PVP. It gives you something to work towards to be able to overtake opponents. Hop into a PVP match and find out your gear isn't up to snuff, so you go back and farm gear that will bring you up to snuff. Hop back into PVP and find out skill is not to snuff, then practice peace practice. Then a new "expansion" (or dlc, however you wish to look at it) comes out and you keep playing PVP and others get the newest, greatest gear and are able to ove...
Really didn't have this on my radar until I heard all the positives that people are saying. Excited to delve in!!
