I don't think most fans of call of duty would actually want the core gameplay to change, which is why they're adding new stuff in instead of changing. Most of the people who are vocal in disliking call of duty probably won't buy it but the fans will even if their is no true games.
I agree with you in wanting to feel like you're actually in the game, like in killzone and battlefield you feel like you're actually playing the soldier and you feel the weight of your gu...

Multiplatform games are the best thing for gamers, I will always stand by the fact that if more people get to play a certain game the better and I don't understand why limit the playerbase. Exclusives for sure are better for Console platforms but it is not better for consumers in the long run. Most people will buy one console and regardless of which console they chose they should be able to play the games and not miss one just because they don't have the other console that it's ex...

I had the mod for Arma 2 and if it's anything like it I'll pass. It was good for a few hours but really got repetitive. Get guns, Survive, Die -> cycle begins

I actually like the crucible, and even though you're right Destiny is still not built around the premise of competitive gameplay and more cooperative. That's why I said real competitive.
Actually curious to see this games multiplayer in action. It's the only real competitive fps coming out pretty much this year on "current gen" Not given many options besides bf4 and ghosts (titanfall xbone)which was released on launch on the consoles.
I personally won't pick one up and I have not yet to this point. It's like paying for a alpha/beta, unless you truly believe in the product I would not do it.

Games have been doing better at resolution lately yes, but to say the halo masterchief collection is evidence is pure nonsense, the halo masterchief collection has last gen graphics.
Yeah there was a super hero sale a week or so ago. DCUO Ultimate edition, Marvel Heros, Injustice, all got a cut in price. It was epic
I bought the hd version when released on ps3 and enjoyed every second.
For me it was the Xbox Original, the library of games was really lacking but it was the first place I played multiplayer gaming online with Halo.
I also had a Ps2 and tried socom but it was not the same
