@Sam Fisher - I'm gonna sound like an ass but you have no idea. How is Sony closed? Architecture? Crossplay? A console by definition is closed architecture, Sony has crossplay with PC and has a longer history of doing so.
PS5 and any other PS hardware will be cheaper than PC. Unless your happy with a Frankenstein rig that looks like an abomination.
MS needs to invest in it's own studios and create new ones. They dont need or should acquire anyone.
They must using the same strategy for next gen, they've threw in th towel long ago on this gen. I can't see why they would go that route, it failed massively this gen.
Nope - not going to pad out numbers of a dud console. I've got a PS4pro and a cracking PC. xbox is irrelevant.
NMS was made by a small team that over promised and under delivered. That was acknowledged along time ago.
Now SoT was developed by a huge team with a huge budget. Can you see the difference? You can spout numbers all day, let the water settle and see where it's at in 6 months.
mandingo - in no way did the 360 sell better, it's a fact. Did it take a chunk of marketshare, yes - does that mean best selling - no.
People have to accept, MS has finished third in every gen they've participated. The 360 was their best effort, the original and xboxone got absolutely spanked.
Zerobalance - most Wii's were sold to retirement villages, most 360 sales were due to RROD. See it's easy to say things.
OT: They put their faith in the wrong areas, forced Kinect on their customers, broken promises and willingness not to take risks on new ips.
It was captured on PS4pro, all their latest gametrailer are. Just shows how good Sony 1st/2nd Parties are.
Would this only affect US?
No - Sony has put in the effort over the years to grow a fan base that appreciates SP games. Enough said.

alb1899 - surely 'on rails' is not what you are seeing? There will be mission structure for sure, but you'll be able to go about it anyway you like.
They're used to reading 'xbox exclusive' only for it to be a timed or console exclusive.
Imalwaysright - Because Sony has s good relationship with Insomniac, and their track record with free flowing open world games is second to none.

What a dumb thing to write. You do know where devs put most of their effort and resources? You do understand this gen has been a massive success for 2 out 3 of the manufacturers?
I'm sure there'll be one - maybe and E3 announcement? It would be the cherry on top.

OT: Big ad campaign incoming - Sony will push this hard, it ridiculously good looking atm. I'm hopeful for a special edition Pro console announcement, fingers crossed.
bouzebbal - you must be doing it wrong, buy a decent 4K player (Panasonic/OPPO) and then buy a 4K disc. They're not all created equal of course so do a little research. Have a look at High-def digest and Blu-ray.com. Streamed 4K isn't as good as plonking a disc in a player.
MS should have seen the potential in Sunset and gone with a sequel, but the powers that be dont have the foresight or the balls to back something that isn't a sure thing.
