jesus, do you have any idea how expensive a controller would be that is touch or had a screen built in?! they're $60 now...those are cool in theory but none of them are practical.
I'm okay with this. I love the dual shock, but a redesign is of course welcome. Keep it simple though sony. Dont try and make it some super fancy thing.
still rocking my 160gb phat (now a 500gb) havent had a single issue with this beauty!
@evadus the trailer park boys reference just made my day.
Yes, I think it matters.
If for nothing more than to show SONY that, while they took risks trying to innovate and be different, it ended up paying off. Even when things seemed pretty dark for them. Now just imagine, if it launched at a lower price, had better advertising for not only the system, but its top exclusives. I hope they learnt a lot this gen and apply at least some of it to their next system.
But, it also just matters that it sells. In an industry thats al...
If they can get power without highcost, go for it.
If not...make it powerful, but dont try to use innovative tech to make it so. That will also reduce cost significantly.
I buy new anyway...
I'd love to just download everything..except for when Street Fighter was 21gb. F#&K my internet limit right!
is there a chance that this game might actually be good?
I mean damn, everyone got their panties in a bunch about the change of direction. But doesnt mean the game cant be enjoyable..play it before you judge its quality.
I always said the original Ps3 wasn't over priced. what you were getting for that price was an incredible deal, to the mass market though it was waaay over priced.
I can't exactly explain why Apple seems to be so successful with selling over priced items when others fail.
perhaps Apples products are aimed more at a majority of buyers where game consoles are still a niche market.
I like when people try to decipher things that have a simple answer.
They don't like Xbox. The system offered them nothing more than the other consoles. In fact, it probably offered them less. Xbox is built and survives on FPS, incase you havent noticed...Japan doesn't really give a shit about FPS.
WHY THE F**K IS THIS ON THE MAIN PAGE?!
yet, accounts get stolen all the time.
so yeah, super secure!
I hear about xbl accounts being hacked and stolen all the time.
playstation, basically they had 1 big fallout since its been out, and its more secure.
mmmm.
okay then.
The mysterious price will forever scare me until they announce.
@lelo2play
who is this "among others" you've listed?
and yeah..Zipper tried some new things and it just didn't work. When you have other studios producing top quality games, why keep one that's a Ps2 success around?
they could've handled it a bit better from some of the reports I've read, but when it comes down to it, its a business about making money. Zipper wasn't making it happen.
MS as shown they can build a top tier studio.
343 has made 1 game, and some of the people are from Bungie.
and they make Halo, which had a pretty solid formula of building off. Try a new IP, then you can say they build top tier studies...also more than 1 example.
This would be a big buy for MS since they basically have zero top notch first party Dev teams.
except, I'm pretty sure Epic has been pretty vocal about their dislike of the closed source system MS uses on the xbox. (see unreal tournaments map packs and mod system) So i'm not entirely sure that they'd go through with selling out completely.
I wont lie, all I read was "Specialization unlock codes Friday evening for Halo 4 owners who played the Xbox 360 shooter online by November 20"
lol
why are people disliking my comment?
people bitched about the price of the Ps3, yet now seem to be perfectly okay with the idea of a controller with a screen built into it. Sony would make it, then charge like $100 for it and everyone would bitch its too expensive...
or is this purely a "dream world" article and everyone commenting is taking part in this dream...
