The only thing i think was missing from the Resistance series was heavier textures and some more shaders to make the enemy more organic looking etc, water from R2 wasn't bad, but nowhere near Uncharted's.
I've got the demo on my PS3 now and it still looks decent, i just hope they up the texture's more. But it's an early demo.
And i still love R1.

It's not my thing, i'm more into BF type games, bigger open spaces, really been waiting for this as i loved BF2 on PC.
Probably because they are in love with the 360.
PS3 won that hands down to be fair.
I don't think every game tries to be realistic.
Physics is realism, but needs alot of power.
Graphics wise, CRYSIS,BF3 is about as realistic as it gets for shooters. Quick mention for bioshock 1,2, they are realistic in terms of vocals, what decisions you make.
Mario is not realistic, as for a plumber, his a$$ does not hang out and his belly isn't fat enough.
They should just use a flip system for each part.
I don't need to see everything all at once.
If i want movies, i'll goto movie section etc.
And that's exactly what i'm doing atm regarding all games.
Any games that i know i'll just play the SP, i'll wait till they are cheap, what's the rush.
Recently i've just completed RDR,Bioshock 2. Some of the best games i've played for awhile tbh.
I'm playing Red Faction Guerrilla atm, enjoying it:) Destruction is good.
Also playing Brutal legend, fun game.

Just got to ask you, were you saying this looks like crap and that looks like crap when you were playing BF2 on pc back in the day?
The reason i ask, is for a decent rez x2aa everything up high it still looks poor, low rez, characters low quality and you still needed 2gb ram.

Anyone knocking the PS3 version of BF3 is an idiot, plain and simple.
Remember playing BF2 maxed, looks nowhere near the graphics of BF3. Yes i could run it faster on PC, but it does not have destructable environments, awesome lighting,better shaders.

I'll clear a few things up.
GOW3 is 60fps and a very nice looking game. But scale wise other then fighting on a giant, it is nowhere near the scale of BF3.
30fps is fine for a shooter if it stays 30fps no-screentear. BFBC2 did this well for the most part.
RAGE is not a sandbox game. Carmack said so himself.
And on console it looks decent. That is enough.

Haven't played l.a. noire, but have completed RDR and i really enjoyed it. alot more then i thought i would. I'm not really into openworld games, but it did the story and action so well. I'd advise anyone to play rdr.
