I'll have no problem with these guys cancelling a multiplat game for the PS3 but if say ND cancelled Uncharted 2(which wont happen) then I'll be pissed.
They do have an embargo on actually showing the actual product before it releases hence why they're al just using the NeGaf mock up to get the Idea through the heads of the public that in this section (PS3 stands/ shelves) there will be a new redesigned PS3 and not the same old one that's already available.
All those ads on display in every one of these stores will change eventually and they'll show the real Slim on display once Sony allows them to do so.

I think Sony will be done with the PS2 by the end of this year or by the 1Q of 2010 because a lot of stores here in the UK don't even sell the PS2 hardware itself apart from the games. Just today I checked in Toys'R'Us in Leicestershire (where I live) and they were no longer selling the PS2 Slim hardware apart from PS2 games and accessories. I even checked in Argos and they have also stopped selling PS2 Slim hardware but are still selling games and accessories.

The font for Gamestation in the UK is like a scribbled type of font so yeah this could be true.
I have this feeling that everything we've seen of the Slim so far is all fake and that the real slim will probably look the same from the front (like the current PS3's) but will be slimmer from the side.

The MotorStorm devs never used the CGI pic which you posted as a target render, the devs clearly said about 100x's that the CGI clips were made to give the audience a feel of how intense the game will be, they never said it's gameplay. Anyone including you who thought that it was real-time is a flippin idiot.

They both look sh1t and this game doesn't show the true potential of both console but if you compare exclusives (which is why 360 fans chose a 360 in the first place) then the PS3 destroys the 360 period.
But I do agree the 360 version looks darker and the PS3 version looks slightly lighter but that can be adjusted through your TV settings.
I guess 100's of people playing that shoddy 5vs5 Gears2 online caused a server overload lol.
I just came out a of a hectic 32 player online match of KZ2 and there's probably hundreds of people right now playing a full 32 player online match and there's not a single problem.
GeOW2 5 vs 5 online and the 360 struggles.
KZ2 16 vs 16 online no problems at all.

what the heck are you guys talking about! this game looks just like any other next-gen game but only slghtly better, and those who say the consoles can't handle this are stupid because Uncharted 2 looks 10x's better.
By the way the sand looks like a giant brown coloured cloth sitting on top of a bunch of rocks but the sky does look good, and the rocks have jaggies on them so stop being blind.
Hate to burst your bubble but GT5 doesn't use Ray-Tracing at all not even one small incy wincy bit. If it did then one car would reflect another car and the side view mirrors would reflect off of the car and what ever the side view mirrors are reflecting in their mirrors will also be reflected on the car. Not only that but the interior of a car passing by another car including the windows, wheels, disc breaks or even the spinning of the wheels would be reflected on to another car.
I think the Spiderman font at the top has to stay there to remind people that this is still a PS3 game and not for some other console.
But if the Slims coming out in September then how come Uncharted 2's box art is like any other PS3 games casing? because Uncharted 2's coming out in October
