It seems to me any MMORPG that thinks it's going to have a monthly subscription fee is deluding itelf and might as well just start off on the F2P model from the beginning.
Obviously there is one exception to this, but that just proves the rule.
Read this as a well written "history" of sex in the games industry.
Did the author get knocked out halfway through and get replaced by some TV evangelist?
"Jesus said, “But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.”
tl;dr?
religious agenda with half a gaming articles wedged in front of it.
CS1.6 Dust2 absolutely owns this list. Wake Island , what an awesome map in BF2. Rarely have I agreed with a list so closely!
I don't think I ever saw anyone complain that they had to pay for the second book in series. you wouldn't expect to buy the first Harry Potter book and get all the following ones for free because "they were all part of the same story anyway". It's the same with movies and their sequels.
It comes from a generation who have grown up expecting everything for free, brought on in many cases by the ability to "acquire" any music, movies, games, progr...
Personally I always used to think people should stop crying about paying for extra DLC, that was based on the understanding that this was something ADDED to an already complete title. Something extra you could purchase to prolong, extend or otherwise enhance your experience.
I'm quite a "pro-industry" kinda person, but even I can see the worrying trend towards "mission critical" paid DLC that you need buy to even play the game as intended.

I don't think theres enough police brutality tbh. As long as it's not ME getting my head kicked in - bring it on!
Seems the only thing MS have over SONY now is the time exclusives on COD.
Whats the main diff with the 40k versions?
Ok, that's it. This one has pushed me over the edge, I'm taking my CC t the store and coming back with a PS4.
Because XTGN's eyes are old and blurry.
The major difference was longevity. No sooner is the last patch / update applied and the game is pretty much as it should be - than we get moved onto the new version, with a tirade of incoming patches once more. It never ends. BF2 was around for ages, that's why it was so bloody good.
Case in point : Counter Strike (1.6 - not the "dirty" source version ofc!)
I'm about 400 years old and enjoyed BF2. I played "a lot". Was excited for BF3 and bought it on day one, didn't play it after day 2. Didn't even bother with BF4. I'm just not interested any more, at lest it's a different "take" on BF though, I'll give them that.
I was involved with the CGS. It had serious sponsors Microsoft, Dell, Mountain Dew etc and had worldwide TV exposure on Sky, Star and Direct networks. The viewing figures were terrible and it was cancelled at the end of the second season.
Gamers watch games on Twitch and other live streams. They do not watch it on TV. The Olympics is a TV event. None gamers will not watch VideGaming as a "sports entertainment" product and gamers won't watch games on Tv. Olympic ...
I expect it's his wife tbh.
Annoying though, with a lack of information, these got posted everywhere else as "screens". I doubt there was any deliberate attempt to fool anyone, though it was left "wide open" for people to come to their own incorrect assumptions...
shaping up to be quite promising assumming everyone can get their head around the DLC plan...
Someone from Liverpool. Just go on YouTube and search for a scouse accent.
See I read Merseyside, which is where Liverpool is , and incorrectly decided to label them Scouse from Southport.
Have we moved on from the DOOM era though. Personally I'm not sure what titles like Wolfenstein and Doom bring to games now.
