They can all coexist. Handheld gaming will never die, but the most popular right now is smartphones, when I commute on the train, which is like everyday, I never see anybody with a 3DS or Vita, I see a lot of people playing smartphone games, doesn't mean those people don't own one, I don't bring my Vita me with cause knock on wood I might lose it.
If the one game is worth it why not ? Do you honestly think you will want only one game on any platform ?
This might be the highest selling Vita game of the year, kids love COD more then Pokemon, no joke.
