Exactly, by the time the PS3 gets some decent games, Microsoft will be releasing an even better system.
I am gaming NOW, and that is why I purchased a 360.
I gotta laugh at all of the people that were acting like Ratchet & Clank was going to sell 40,000,000 copies.
The Playstation's glory days are over.
Ain't karma a b!tch? : )
Ugly American, leave the thinking to your superior officers.
Forget about "world opinion", it is your naivete and lack of understanding of the complexities of this world that are dangerous.
Clive Thompson needs to turn off his Xbox 360, because judging by this article, it has turned him into a massive douchebag of epic proportions.
These games appeal to the same sick mind that munches on popcorn while watching garbage like SAW, Hostel and all of the other crap that people crave.
Violence has a place in any society, but senseless brutality never does, and if you enjoy watching it, you need help.
lol @ jerkoffs like "Noodlecup" who think that they have Americans all figured out.
Gotta love the people who "don't see why everyone is saying it's good news". Please, save it for the stage. If Blu-ray players were being offered for $98 for even a split second, you people would be mass-ejaculating on your copies of Pirates of the Caribbean . LOL
This is an awesome price for an awesome HD DVD player!
People who are suggesting that this is "cheap hardware" need to research more and post less.
Blu-ray = Betamax.
Believe it.
Boldy29- I believe that it stems from the fact that PS3 owners spent a great deal more on a system that has up until now offered them far less than what they had hoped for. They feel the need to defend their costly mistake, or else deal with the reality of the situation: They spent more for a console that is clearly light years behind the Xbox 360.
It is the reason that they are acting like Ratchet & Clank is the next Halo 3, and the reason that they are defending Blu-ray to the de...
Don't fall for it, folks.
Blu-ray is very worried about Toshiba's recent gains and the upcoming holiday season. HD-DVD players that are in the $170 range are the LAST thing that Blu-ray wanted to see, and now they are "going on the offensive" to try and convince you as to why you really want to spend hundreds more on a Blu-ray player.
Blu-ray's desperation in recent months has been very transparent.
It's almost sad. lol
I sleep just fine, Chris03.
Instead of counting sheep, I count the hundreds of dollars I saved by going with HD-DVD. ; )
Blu-ray knows that HD-DVD is going to have a very happy holiday season. ; )
Toshiba already has sub-$200 HD-DVD players out on the market! In fact, it appears that the A3 is going to be available for $169 at Sears on Black Friday!
Those prices are going to do far more to drive sales than a few retarded Blu-ray exclusives ever could.
Blu-ray is in very, very deep sh!t.
Some of you cats need to calm down. For real.
I know that the desparation for your PS3 to have at least a handful of decent games is killing you, but take a step back and look at the way some of you are acting towards someone who simply gave this game a "pretty good" instead of a "oh yeah, I will never look at an Xbox 360 again because Sony is my lord and savior!!!!!!!" type of review.
If someone told me that they thought that Bioshock or The ...
Hey, I was a happy PS2 owner for years. If I am now an "Xbot" or a "MS fanboy" it is only because the Xbox 360 owns the PS3. I know that PS3 owners don't like to admit it, but it's true; The 360 has far more AAA titles and an incredible online community. Deal with it.
I actually spent a fair amount of time trying to decide between the PS3 and the 360, but when I compared the games that are currently available for both consoles, the choice was easy; I would r...
If the most anticipated game for my console was Ratchet & Clank, well... I would be pissed.
I don't doubt that some will find it fun, but come on, the 360 has a very long list of games that completely bury this type of crap.
Why are people even buying the PS3 at this point? Brand loyalty?
It's a sad state of affairs when PS3 owners spend more time cheering about sales numbers than they do about the games that are actually available for the console.
PS3 = sh1tty games, no matter how many they sell.
The PS3 has games? When did this happen?
