As long as there is a such thing as territorial dominance console exclusives will always exist. If every gen stays like this where Sony system sells around the world constantly and MS consoles (if they continue with this market) only sell a few good mill in a handful of territories. Fox only owns the movie rights for X-Men nothing game related. Marvel (Disney) just don't want to support the characters. They (Wolverine) might still make an appearance though.

I doubt age has to do with much of it and your analysis shows that what Nintendo is doing is wrong and rely 50% on ones "'Member berries" I'm not a nostalgic person.
