There's only one game that installs during play and it's MGS4, DMC4 installed in the beginning then you had no CD changes. Not to mention what happens when your CD is only 1 hour long? Then you find yourself swapping discs every hour. I would much rather have the initial install (such ad DMC4/GTA4/etc) then to have to switch discs every hour.
On top of that, I would much rather buy this game for PS3 considering FF13 VS is a PS3 exclusive, meaning, you'll still have to buy a ps...
It wouldn't be embarrassing at all if it came out before home. In fact it should come out before home, Home takes time and lots of it, to make something so realistic it's going to be a long project. However when you make a 3D Lego Man modeled after Bob the Builder, you should be able to make 30 worlds of them in a day.

Installs will be required of DD so why not start it off now? The mandatory installs take a whopping 5 mins tops to get through -- it's better than swapping discs in FFVIII.
