Why throw in the word skill when talking about the framerate? Just because it didn't inhibit you doesn't mean it isn't a problem. It has nothing to do with 'skill'.

It's just gaming evolution I guess. People want fast paced action or action in general. RPG's take a lot of grinding, gameplay can be slow, and throws detours at you (side quests). Also, as someone mentioned, RPG's are probably expensive to make. Create different towns, people, environments, big story, etc..
I would kill for a traditional Turn Based JRPG right now. Most of it is like FF12 combat where you just run around and fight. One of the reasons why I dug FF...

im on the ps3. i dunno man, textures lack depth, colors are dull, and the distant art work is blurry/hazy and overall lack clarity and sharpness.
i had to turn down the brightness and it makes it a little bit better.
I feel right at home! It plays exactly like Demon's Souls with some improvements. I have already died 8 times and I only just got past the first area.
I am also liking the openness of Dark Souls. The world feels massive.
Targeting system feels like it might become a problem and graphics seem to be downgraded. Probably because it's now ported :(. Frame rate drops frequently also, a problem that was present in DS.

A $250 dollar incomplete system that now going to cost $270 in total. Yes you have the option to buy it but this accessory should have been in the initial design.

Not only is the thing gigantic and bulky, it's ugly and takes 1 triple A battery as well.
Every 3DS owner should get this abomination for free.
You won't need half those features if you're traveling anyway. If you're moving, chances are you aren't using wifi, you're using headphone to hear, you don't need bluetooth and probably won't be using any network features. I doubt you will also be playing 3-5 hours away from your home.
