I am not taking away your argument that XBL is adding free to play games to their service, but so is playstation.
Ok, XBL has Happy Wars slated as their first free to play, even though Hybrid was supposed to be. PSN has DUST 514, that links into an MMORPG universe connecting two different genre of game together.
I love my Xbox, I really do, but I don't feel they are being innovative enough with the money that we pay into it. Sony, giving CCP (dev behind...
If we are paying for the evolution of the service, why did they stop inside xbox? I'll be honest, I loved some of those shows... Sent U A Message was a favorite, and Major's Minute was informative.
So, if we pay for the service, why get rid of one of the more entertaining parts of it?
The achievements don't carry over between the two version of the game... so you can't boost your achievement score. I tried with and extra account i have just in case i got the ban hammer.
I did debug a few of my quests though... including the one that sourav93 had.
It seems that OnLive is polarizing. Most of the people I know that use the service LOVE IT. Then there are a few that just can't stand it.
I've wanted to give the service a try just to see how it works, and how good things can look with it. Will you get true PC style graphics that you would expect on all PC games, or console style graphics?
I... can't... stop... playing!
Absolutely awesome interview! Not only do you get a deep look into the creative process behind the game, you also get what goes through the mind of an indie developer right before their game launches!
Great insight into where the idea for Atom Zombie Smasher came from.
Interesting game, and the videos look interesting. I want to give it a shot, but the cost of entry seems a little steep. Thoughts?
I so want to give this a try now!
Skid, if you check out Episode 68 of the Podcast we talk to Alex Jordan creator of the game, and he mentioned a bunch of things he is looking to add to the title.
I know Jeff had a chance to play it while he was at the "1 Night in Moscow" Press Event in San Fran the beginning of July, and he loved it.
There are more people that play it on xbox than on steam. I do still look for the games on steam as i prefer it on PC... even though i had it at launch on xbox.
We just posted up a review on his game Cthulhu Save the World, and we are working on Breath of Death review.
Awesome dev team! Great Interview.
A great read and I'm looking forward to the game already. lets just hope he doesn't almost kill himself like they did when putting out Super Meat Boy.
Then take this one for a spin, because he gets into all sorts of details about how it's unfounded, and how a lot of it happened to other forms of media when they were new.
Thanks for the feedback!
As for the naturally evolving landscape... i guess it can be enjoyable, if you want to wipe your villages out! ;)
That it's from a different era is the big hang up I have with it, and really super metroid/castlevania started that whole trend in games.
Would Shadow Complex be as great as it is without the Metroid/castlevania games creating that style of game play? Would it even be the same?
I don't see how he can compare super metroid and shadow complex at all. Shadow complex was influenced by super metroid, but you can't compare the two.
The $80 price cut Nintendo did to the 3DS is the same thing they did with the Wii before the PS3 launched. They want to get headlines, and sales.
Use the journalists to help sell the product.
This is one of the few reasons to hook the Xbox back up!
