So you guys remember how primitive 3D graphics used to be when it first became a thing? Grahpics were blocky, characters had lower LOD and much more. But the difference were in the gameplay experience. The level of immersion that 3D graphics give.
I believe that VR is just like that, and will continue to get better the same way 3D graphics did.
Gamers amazes me. We complained about Battlefront having too few maps at launch.. but this is ok? Paying 30$ for a beta, full of bugs, glitches and performance issues? Just one map? Are people really praising that?
But it will when you play it
I think we will see graphics like these when next-gen arrives.
Thing is that Sony has proved us wrong so many times thinking their trailers are all CGI. Look at Uncharted 4 and The Order. Everyone thought it was CGI, but it really wasn’t.
Also, Kojima has never used CGI in his Metal Gear Solid games. What you see is what you get in gameplay.
I have 0 reason to doubt this.
What I gathered from the trailer was that a new big bang happened that altered gravity, physics and erased most life on our planet that we know of, and it brought with it a new unknown entity with powers beyond our knowing. That baby is like you said probably the key to human survival.
Agree. That engine is very effective when you look at what they managed to do with The Frozen Wilds in just 10 months. Herman said it himself that they started making it one week after the release of HZD.
Its impressive.
@Zeref Let me rephrase what he said «Publishers can fuck up sometimes».
Did they just fuck up «sometimes» these last 10 years with:
- Microtransaction controversy
- Forced multiplayer in Dead Space 3 and Mass Effect 3 etc for broader appeal.
- Rehashing games just for moneys sake
- Buying out studios and gutting them a few
years later (Westwood, Maxis, Mythic, Bullfrog Productions, Origin Systems, D...
I felt this PSX was more personal, and I really liked seeing the bonds between the developers and executives. I didn’t expect any game reveals because sony clearly stated they was not going to do a keynote. We got that at PGW and E3.
But there were a few games that blew my mind though. Did not expect Medievil at all, and WipEout looks mindblowing in VR. It litteraly sold me on buying my own PSVR set.
This looks good. There’s obviously a lot of talent at Dice, Motive and Criterion. Its just a shame that EA decided to drag this potentially great game through the mud with their practices.
Ah, looks like I screwed up here. If Cuphead is on Steam, it isn’t really a Microsoft exclusive.
EA: «Hey look at these small changes we’ve made to our highly controversial BF2 game! Now please go out and give us them money so we can screw you even more later!»
These changes are not what we asked for. Theres still a credit cap on Arcade mode. Still requires too much playtime to unlock anything. MTs will be reintroduced. This is just EA begging for more people to buy the game in the hope that they will buy MTs when they come back.
I think the better term would be Microsoft exclusive? Since Ms owns both platforms.
I play a lot of games, and I was skimming through all my games yestersay after getting my Pro back from the workshop. And believe it or not, but the majority of games that I own are exclusively linear/open world single players. I rarely play online on PS4. Destiny didn’t do it for me. Uncharted MP was good.
Only games I play online these days are either CSGO or World of Warcraft on my computer.
My absolute favourite type of games are linear, story driven...
Expecting something thats completely new to rival PS4 userbase in just one year is ridicilous. Especially when you bring in the fact that it costs more than the base hardware.
Its selling quite well and are currently breaking expectations. It sits at just under 50% marketshare and has sold over 1 million after just one year. Thats quite good if you ask me.
Its selling quite well actually. PSVR currently sits at almost 50% markershare. Thats huge
@maybelovehate «I enjoy VR as well. It is my primary development platform right now.» Nice attempt at trying to sound credible, but you just come off as a guy that have 0 experience with the platform.
