Co-op would had been nice, but not at the expense of solo player quality and polish.
And. It's. HORIZON ZERO DAWN. NO. COLON! You're effin' game journalists—do your job.
Come on, folks, let's not jump to conclusions that the lack of a nearly-absolutely-necessary action button will hurt the game—because, well, we can't.
But, seriously though it works just fine in games like Nioh.
Could be cool. Any studio ever create a Brave New World game?
How about multi-platform? (Should be interesting to see if this is an unpopular idea seeing how I recommended a new Perfect Dark be a console exclusive and was met with a wrath of furious down-votes.)
Honestly though, I think gamers would be happy just to get a solid confirmation this is coming sometime in the next five years.
Kind of funny—I picked this up solely for the fact it is the only PlayStation 4 game that has a playable version of Blackjack and Poker built-in to it. Turns out, it's an amazing game, to boot.
Voted you up, but definitely disagree about ease of obtaining a Super Nintendo Entertainment System Classic. I tried for weeks after initial release in Columbus, Ohio, with zero success. (Just check out all the Reddit posts of similar experiences.)
EDIT: Furthermore, MAYBE Nintendo didn't anticipate demand for the NES Classic, but to have a similar issue with the SNES Classic was simply one-of-two things: One.) Lack of production resources (unlikely, but possible); Two...
Hey, um, that's a picture of a Super Nintendo Entertainment System Classic...I mean, I know the Nintendo Entertainment Systems Classics are rare, but surely you can at least find a picture of one, no?
Yeah, I see your point. We tend to get etymology and lexicons all fuddled. It's like how the series of Marvel movies—take Spider-Man and Iron-Man, for example—may not be directly related, but form the same universe. (And, ironically, in this case will actually become the same event in just a couple months.)
I know that we're all used to seeing the word "series" used in conjunction with things like television shows or a even a particular baseball event that...
Cool, thanks. Chronicles X will go to the top of my Wii U need list.
From now on I'll refer to it as just the Xeno series, since:
se·ries ˈsirēz/noun
1.a number of things, events, or people of a similar kind or related nature coming one after another.
That'll be safe.
Can see what you're getting at, but it kind of is a significantly-sized deal.
Stuff like this is what eventually leads to stricter software and distribution regulations, digital rights management and finally, higher prices to make-up for the extra logistical infrastructure.
Good for those gamers who get to play it early, though. Kind of hard to blame them for taking advantage of the situation.
Possibly, but if so it's nothing too dramatic—because the same effect happens during live game play if you play with Aloy's positioning with various things.
Could make one helluva an exclusive for Switch
Not sure what is more impressive about that clip, that it was a technical demo for the first PlayStation or that it's three minutes long.
This highlights a seldom discussed component of next level graphics: Practicality. Or, in short, have our television/computer display sizes and resolution fallen-behind too much to fully benefit from these leaps in computer-generated realms.
I noticed this with Horizon Zero Dawn. The level of detail is spectacular, especially for a game console. For example, with a Thunderjaw you can go into photograph mode and angle/zoom the camera in on the intricate parts and textures of...
Just yesterday I was contemplating if it's silly or not that video games can cause profoundly deep revelations about life, existence and social decency.
Twenty years ago it was certainly more rare for a video game to have a strong, morally driven storyline. And if one would had claimed video games were a powerful tool for the soul to a priest or guru it'd been met with a snicker and pat-on-the-back.
Nowadays, however, games can be considered art, ...
Just finished the HD remaster for Resident Evil 1. Despite (or maybe even in-spite) of the games clunky movement controls it's such a downright masterpiece. Took turns playing the original with my adopted brother when it was released (missed a lot of parts during late nights falling asleep, though), so was a treat playing it all.
Played Resident Evil 2 port on Dreamcast (if memory serves) but didn't get far—thanks to the mistress known as Resident Evil: Code Veronic...
Never played any of the Xenoblade series—would Xenoblade Chronicles X be okay to start with?
So, there seemed to have been some MAJOR confusion (and apparent misplaced, alarming anger) over my relaying of the fact PlayStation is heading into what has traditionally been the sales downslope.
This is a normal thing every console goes through. Don't panic.

Regarding the other GOW: Doesn't Gears of War also lack a jump button?
