It seems the main concern behind this "back to the basics" iteration, is that it lacks any innovation. You would think after years of titles in between, they would do more than just a copy and paste of the AC1-Revelations Era.
Yes, the return to the OG style of format is welcomed, however, there's nothing new fundamentally added to that formula to justify this purchased at full price.

A remake would be nice. However, with all these remakes coming out, as much as I am enjoying Dead Space Remake -
it'd be nice to see a new iteration. Perhaps the return of Visceral and a new entry into the Dead Space franchise?
Either way, if it's given the same treatment as the Dead Space remake, I'd be happy to play it despite the fact.
I've enjoyed XCOm/Phoenix Point, and will say - I've had a good time with the game thus far! A pickup at $40 or below is a solid deal.
I agree with you. However, it sounds like it's been updated more closely to the Zero Gravity functions as DS2/DS3 - which were both good as well!

I've enjoyed the xcom series as well as phoenix point. This game is a welcome addition to my collection! The sandbox open area feels as though it slows down the game progress, however, after character development, and expansion of rewards, it all fits together juxtaposed.
I am having a good time playing this title thus far.
That was my favorite trophy in the original. You'd be surprised at how good the plasma cutter is. And fun.. :)
