Both drawings shown are by the same person (neither is by Sony/MM)... and neither have been published by Sony/MM.
The 1st was one entered in to the competition, the 2nd is a revised one he just posted on the forums as fun.
SONY is not using the 2nd one shown as you depicte wrongly.
THe whole thing came about with last weeks shark costume DLC looking similiar to both them shown that was designed by a user.

If Sony dropped the price they would only have to re-coup it by other means just like M$ does.
M$ can drop the price of the xbox360, but we all know after the new year the price of a years subscription to Live will increase in cost to cover the price drop!
I do not want any sudden new hidden charges after buying my console from Sony due to them having to reduce the price of units.

A console or PC is not a babysitter and neither should a child be allowed to play on one for long periods of time (not at all if they are not even old enough to play the game).

I've kinda grown aparty from Destructoid in the last few months (I used to love them and check thrice a day).
But lately they have been increasingly coming out with some bad crappy 2nd hand reporting by the newer writers with silly points of view too.
There competitions also suck unless you happen to be American (same with everything they report on, all Americanized prices and street dates and stuff... not a care for the rest of the world.

It amazes me how Firefox only has 20% market share.
By now you would think that even the clueless 'old dads that are new to computing' would of gave up on IE and realised Firefox was the way forward from all the Magazines they buy on how to use there new computer.
the only reason I can think for the slow market share is that for some reasonmost (if not all) businesses who are connected to the net automatically use IE instead of Firefox for the support they get with it.

This has been widely knowwn for ages.
Over in the UK it is plastered all over an advert on TV to win the game and a PS3 by designing your own sackboy there (it is on several times an hour on 4Music channel).
