the COD and AC franchises are more watered down than Halo at this point. With ur logic, Nintendo is relying on Mario too much. There's a reason Mario and Chief are icons. A new GOW would be amazing though. Such a great franchise. GOW:J got slammed for no reason IMO. Maybe the price could have been $40-$50 but it should have been praised for being what it was; a prequel
