Think about it, if you owned a company and you have a successful product that sells billions aka Apple iphone/ipad, why wouldn't you want to release it every year. It is business 101.
It is more than likely backward compatible, so all your current X360 games will work on the new console. I don't get your logic
I could never imagined COD to be this big. I think it all started with COD2 when it was released for the X360 as the premier title and the best title to play online at that time. Then when Modern Warfare 1 dropped a couple years later, there were already a strong following, couple with a larger install base, PS3 is also out, and with the universal praise of critics and strong, smart advertising, the series became big.
There is no manadatory or texture pack for Skyrim. I do not know where this nit of information is coming from.
I will be installing Skyrim on my HDD though because this game will be in my trey for a long time.
I think 2012 will be a banner year for UBsoft with a new Ghost Recon, Far Cry 3 and hopefully Assassin's Creed 3 based on a new era/location.

It is all good that Gears didn't get nominated. The 5 games listed are well deserved of the nominations.
There are other great games that also didn't get nominated like Deux Ex, Assassin's Creed, Saint's Row.
Gears 3 will no doubt be in the Shooter of the year nomination and might win it too.
The good thing is I will have to chance to play all of them and decide for myself.

This is the X360 version that they had reviewed. I thought is was the PC version. All versions should be great so I am taking my one week vacation @home and play all 200 plus hours of it.
Resistance 3 and another ratchet game came out on PS3? WOW, I didn't notice, I have not seen one review on N4G for any of them. You guys sure about that? LOL
I thought when the Wii dropped under $150 in the States, it will breath new life into Wii, it didn't...I think the problem with the Wii is the one trick Pony moniker label. Motion control was a fad up to a couple years ago and Wii Fit and Wii Sport was the driving force behind the massive Wii sale but just like Guitar Heroes, it is past its time.
