1. "Please make it PS3 exclusive"
2. "X360 will hold it back"
3. "It will suck like GTAIV if it is on anything other that a Sony platform"
Some of you are so up Sony's A____, it is comical at times.
It is going back to the gameplay and style that made the PS2 series such a great action series. It is not a movie tied in.
Split/second will also be great too. I am going to try out the demo later on.
I got it for the PS3 because I have an adapter to use the old Nuby SF 15th anniversary pad from the PS2 days.
Even though I am more a pro X360 gamer, I can choose the best of both worlds with both systems on hand. In two weeks it will be Lost Planet 2 Gears of War edition for my X360.
Already pre-paid for:
Alan Wake Limited Edition
Lost Planet 2
Red Dead Redemption
Split Second
Prince of Persia
But you can tell the multiplayer portion of the game have some great textures and graphics. It blew ODST and Halo 3 away. Can't wait to hear more about the campaign.
I just renewed my Gold Subscription 2 months ago for $35.00. Got it on sale from Walmart. That came out to like $3.00 per months. Common, a McDonald happy meal cost more than that. Even when it is at full price at $50.00 per month, it is still just a little over $4.00 per month.
It is a great service to those that have a X360. Been a member for 3 years now, no complaint. PSN is also a very good service but It is not as Live, no pun intended, as Xbox Live, IMO.
Halo Combat Evolved was one of the highest scoring game of last generation. I thinkl Halo Reach have a chance to do the same in this generation. Can't wait for the beta. This game will be HUGE on all levels.
Here is my list:
Alan Wake
SSF4
Red Dead Redemption
Lost Planet 2
Split Second
Prince of Persia
Crackdown 2
Dead Rising 2
Fable 3
Halo Reach
Killzone 2/Resistance 3
Fallout: New Vegas
Ghost Recon Future Soldier
Medal of Honor
Last Guardian
And whatever is left from E3.
Don't forget, Rare has 4 projects incoming as well as Spawnpoint, a new studio formed not too long ago. Also, Itagaki San is back with a new game that might show up at E3.
There will be great gaming announcement at E3. I expectanother game or two will be added to the Fall lineup with Reach and Fable.
"Gears 3 above Reach? no way " Both games are like Shaq and Kobe from the Lakers Dynasty. They are the best at their respective position and yet no one c...
If it comes out on PS3 6 months later, then good for PS3 owners. More people get to play the game the better.
I own both systems so it doesn't bother me as I get all the new games on both camps.
Currently, X360 has 5 exclusives that are truely exclusives coming out within 12 months in Alan Wake, Crackdown 2, Halo Reach, Fable 3, and Gears 3 that are day one for me and alot of X360 owners.
PS3 has GT5, Agent, Last Guardian, Killzone 3 and FF13 Versu...
Remember Nintendo have:
Mario Party 75
Mario Kart Wii 2
Wii Sports Future
Wii Fit Vital Sensor Plus
Zelda
New Super Mario Bros. X2
Pokemon Wii
and oh, anything else that start with Wii or has Mario in it.
It is sad but true. :(
Hmm, Square Enix have a pretty interesting lineup in 2010 thus far. With FF13, Just Cause 2, Nier, and Front Mission. I am looking to see how Front Mission turns out. If Nier gets anywhere between 80-85 on Meta, I might have to pick it up in the Summer.
Love Bioshock 2, let see how this one turns out. FPS, Third Person Shooter, Action beat em up, platformers, they are all the same. They are all ACTION GAMES in different perspective.
For those that are complaining that there are too many shooters, well tell me what other genre besides FPS or Third person shooters that can bring value and community to the online ecosystem? answer is none.
Here are my 5 best bets:
1. Killer Instict 2
2. Mech Assult
3. Brute Force
4. KOTOR
5. Perfect Dark
Chickenlegs, why are you all over this thread if you hate X360 so much?
I can live with that. Like I said, this game will end up around 88-91 so it is expected that 80s scores will be coming in. Just got back from Gamepost Midnight launch and can't wait to play this game tomorrow. Good nite everyone and happy gaming.
so far in 2010, I have purchased:
Bayonetta, Darksiders, ME2, Bioshock 2, Battlefield: BC2, FF13, GOW3, Just Cause 2, Heavy Rain, and just got Splinter Cell at the midnight Gamestop launch.
I also pre-paid for Red Dead Redemption, Alan Wake, SSF4, Lost Planet 2, Split Second, Prince of Persia Forgotten Sands, Crackdown 2, and Dead Rising 2. I haven't even gotten to the Fall lineup yet.
It will end up around 89 - 92 on Metacritic when it is all said and done.
Just pick up this game at the midnight launch along with the original SC, Pandora Tomorrow, and Chaos Theory used at gamestop. Will try to play them all over the course of the week.
Features

Story
Set 18 months after Gears of War 2, and after the fourth Gears of War book
The location shown in the "Ashes to Ashes" trailer is a location nicknamed 'Char', where the remains of victims from the Hammer of Dawn strikes are heavily present.
...
For this game, Alan Wake, Split Second, and the New Prince of Persia to arrive at my doorstep in a few short days.
BTW, PS3 fans shouldn't feel too bad as both Splinter Cell Conviction and Alan Wake are sub HD just like their superior version of RDR.
