Wow the other two reviews I read at least said it was fun. This just tears the poor asian girls a new one...

Sure hope this game is $20-30, it looks like a great budget title. The online stuff will give it some replay value for sure.
And for what its worth, the graphics look pretty good too.
Although the "Play with anyone" mode is scratchy, playing with friends, which most of us do, is fine.
Nintendo's online in general is screwy, but it is not the core of the game. It is still a wonderful game, one of the best made in its genre, and should be a game of the year contender without a doubt.
Well that review made me feel not so bad that I don't have time to buy the game right away. It lacks depth? This game has been in development over 5 years and it lacks depth? That's a scary thought. Still intrigues me, I'll still pick it up.
Just forget the hype going in I guess, and enjoy it for what it is. I guess it just isn't what we thought it was.
I am getting sick of these stories. The DS is the top selling handheld/console every month in the US, and most weeks in the world. Why in the world would they bother to bring out a new DS until the current one stops selling?
It makes no sense, I think they are just creating news because up until this week August was a pretty quiet gaming news month.

This game looked great when it was announced with all the other launch titles. Sure, it didn't sit in a closet for a decade or more like Duke Nukem Forever, but it is solid mature title for a system needing more mature titles. I think this is the real apology Nintendo is giving its ever loyal fans.
Toad is basically a punching bag that you probably don't even notice is in the game most of the time. R.O.B. also needs more love than he got. He should get his own game. I won't even start with Pit, since the poor guy only has 2 games and was basically overlooked once again after all those Wii rumors.
I agree with the article, but there should be more positive stuff toward all three consoles.
They all have their faults, whether it be shovelware, red ring of death or Home, and they all have their bright sides as well. People love to focus on the negative all the time, be nice to see some positive things besides from fan boys who can't put together a complete sentence.
Won't happen, but it's a wonderful thought.
