Specs are nice to have when making ambitious, high profile games. But even those games can fail in design, fun factor or just overall interest.
Some of the best games I have played has been games with sub par graphics. Hotline: Miami is a great game, and the graphics are 8-bit. Limbo, another game that is excellent and makes use of mood and setting instead of relying on heavy intense graphics.

Xbox One has gotten rid of every relevant ammo the other fanboys had against it. This is why we get heated debates about hUMA or FCC reports. There really isn't nothing left for them to argue. And with d@*n near every dev saying how close each system is in hardware and power there's no true argument in that either.
