The storm has already passed, most of the trolls have gone silent for a job well done or planning anew. Anyways I'll judge the game for myself, still haven't received my package, damnable UPS. Like I said though, if the game truly sucks, it sucks but that agenda against it was real. I doubt any reviewer will be just as harsh on any future releases.
Perfect example of having an agenda. We all know you're a troll, but as soon as you typed "on rails" your statement fell apart.
House of the Dead
Star Fox 64
Blue Estate
Time Crisis
Those are on rails and yet they were fun... will this damn site ever IP ban? It's seriously needed.
There's a difference between criticism (especially when its constructive) and having an agenda. Oh have you missed all the wagon jumping, click-bait articles? Then add to that the always vocal fanboys.
You forgot to places "boys" behind fan and even then your statement is incorrect. I'm a sony & ms fan yet aren't them ms fanboys excited for the resolution bump & framerate bump from DX12? Also like any ps fanboy, ms fanboys will go "nuts" when needed so don't play innocent.
Hurry back to your bridge though...
There are so many games in previous generations that were short yet they are considered amazing, great, epic, and masterpieces.
No its simple - people have an agenda against The Order plain and simple. Again if the game sucks so be it, but let people determine that themselves.
As for reviews the game will definitely be slaughtered even if it is good, because no one enjoys a serving of crow. And trolls will be even more vocal - what a sad bunch.
Good points but honestly this could've been done on one page instead of multiple. Anyways I'll like to add a customizable main character option, similar to the Mass Effect series.
So you peeps disagreeing like incomplete, glitch fests in your games? Geez no wonder greedy pubs & devs are getting away with their garbage.
It various on the person fella. I beat Uncharted 1 in about 7 hrs the first time I played on a friends PS3. I still went out and bought it and replayed a few times because its awesome. Splinter Cell on the original Xbox, beat it in 10 hours, still a great game. Halo CE & Halo 2 campaigns I beat too damn quickly, still epic (I never got to play Halo 2 online either till several years later.)
As has the trolling/ bias. If the game sucks it sucks plain and simple but fanboys (on both sides) have a ridiculous agenda. Just shut the hell up and play games already. People will make up their own damn minds.
Linear is fine if the story and gameplay are solid. It doesn't need to be revolutionary. Trolls however would have you believe it needs triple jumps, space, lasers, time manipluation, running on walls (or going through them) and mulitplayer. Yet none of those things are original and more than enough have already done them.
Honestly I wouldn't mind if the price of games went back up to $80 or so, I paid similar amounts in previous console generations. HOWEVER games would have to be complete, no bugs/ glitches... but of course it wouldn't go that way at all. Greedy/ lazy publishers & developers would just do the same exact thing as now, always trying to push a new low.
Hard? Just go straight to nightmare. I did normal first to get a feel for the game, nightmare was a piece of cake afterwards. Either way enjoy!
So concerned gamers who see the bigger picture are now entitled? What about those who down right defend and support blindly this greed? Should they be labeled idiots?
DLC was a great idea (some devs still do it right) expanding one's favorite games, hell yes sounded good and for a time it was. Now its become far to obvious that developers & publishers are purposefully cutting chunks out of the core game - thus we pay more for less. It may be simple skins and what not ...
That's great yeah... too bad I just got the platinum yesterday and already deleted the game. Eh maybe when I feel like doing a third play-through in the future. Lucky those who are way into the game and those who have yet to play it though.
Its easier for irresponsible people to point the finger, than to look in the mirror and realize they're part of the reason why their children are so messed up. Pathetic parents along with bullying (school, work, and/ or family) will begin the process.
For every hype article there is, there are 4x the bashing ones out there. As for you, you are present in quite a lot of them, adding your own negative fuel.
I'm not expecting a 10, hell it may suck and if it does so be it. What I want are proper reviews, detailing every negative aspect on The Order and then followed up by detailing all negative aspects on all games. However as Evolve has proven, that won't be the case.
Just wait till Halo 5... that marketing campaign is going to redefine marketing.
Only a matter of time before all games drop doing such editions. But for now, yep that's the way to go.
Its easier to describe "on rails" as games like House of the Dead, Time Crisis, Star Fox 64, Blue Estate.
Does The Order seem anything like that? NOPE!
As for time length, it depends on the person playing and whether he/she will want to appreciate everything around, not just charging head first through it.
If the game sucks it sucks. But after seeing the latest flawed reviews of "DLC Evolved" my stance on reviews can furth...
Well after spending 7 hrs (not finished yet, on chapter 11) The Order is quite good. Could it be better? Of course and I can see the potential for an outstanding sequel. As it is though, yes it has lots of QTEs and cutscenes, but it suits the game well.
I'll describe it as an third person shooter oriented Heavy Rain, but much more fluid. It's limited in areas but that atmosphere, holy crap even the black bars faded into nonexistence. However I won't agree with tha...
