He doesnt mean the ps3 sucks. He means their biggest game which is MGS 4 will be the one making all the crowd get a PS3. He wasnt actually bashing the console.
I think sony did this with factor 5.They forced them on motion sensing to show people that they made the right decision with making the six axis.
